Unfortunately, once again MOTHER NATURE prevails! With the forecasted
temps and the current ground conditions... Mother Nature Wins another
schedule SIA event...
But not to fear Race Fans and Drivers... INDEPENDENCE HAS RESCHEDULED TO
FRIDAY, MAY 24th! This will create extra excitement for not only race
fans... but for drivers as well... A double Memorial Day weekend of fun!
PLAN: Let's race Friday night at Independence and then head on south to
34 Raceway on Saturday night for a test session during their regular
Saturday night events. All drivers & 2 crew members will pay a discounted
pit pass of $20 each to get in the pits and prepare their cars for Sunday
night's Memorial Day Weekend Sprint Extravaganza! This is a great
opportunity for drivers to test and tune their cars, make any changes they
wish and prepare for a FANtastic night of racing at 34 Raceway on Sunday
night! 34 Raceway will give a minimum of 3 test sessions throughout the
evenings events, in order for you to take to the track a minimum of 3
sessions. By taking advantage of this offer... you not only are able to
test your car, but you're able to help 34 Raceway promote your event the
next night! (anyone who has questions regarding this offer, please feel

I have been in contact with Bob Wagener who is the promoter at Davenport
Speedway and he has yet to finalize a reschedule date for the April 6th
rained delayed event...

don't see you before, we'll look forward to seeing you at the Friday, May
24th & Sunday, May 26th events! Between now and then... have a safe and
healthy race season!

Please give yourselves enough time and arrive at the track early enough to
warm your engines just before the drivers meeting, so that once the
drivers meeting is complete, you can go directly to hotlap sessions.
The tracks have not given me an order of events... But once I get them...

I have had a few calls on tire rules for the 305's. We will stick to a Modified Knoxville Tire Rule:
No tire preps or tire softeners allowed.
RR Hoosier stamped Medium or Hard 105x16...
OR EQUIVALENT HARDNESS TIRE of any brand-NO SOFT.
LR tire D12 or harder. Other LR packages may be allowed from Hoosier
(H12, H15 or harder) ......
OR EQUIVALENT HARDNESS TIRE of any brand-NO SOFT.
As you all know we are stuck right between K-ville and 34
so this is as close as I can get to a compromise on the tires.....We
realize this will not work for everyone, but hope it will give most a
reasonable opportunity to race. Thanks
