G'day everyone,

Well I'm a 28 yr old Aussie who is after some racing experience in America, obviously to work and live in the country I'd need a visa.... not that easy for the USA however over the border (c c c canada) it is much easier, and I have noticed a lot of jobs for Diesel mechanics (good start).

Now, as I'm self funded I'm not exactly looking to race a 410 open...... however I'm interested in a 305 or maybe a 360 car depending on whats around and where I can race it, bear in mind I also have to buy a tow-car (nothing flash, just go's and tow's) and setup in another country.

Are there any tracks in north washington or Idaho that run a restricted budget type sprintcar class? I am interested in dirt racing, possibly midget's.

Can anyone help with some suggestions of who to speak to, forums to use etc? I'd like to start planning where to go and what to do?

In Australia I currently run a 305 sprintcar and I race on 1/4 mile dirt bull-rings, so I have an idea on what to expect with 305 racing.

Thank you and I look forward to your responses.

Dan

What do you mean it isn't easy? We have over 12 million illegals here now so come on over and join them. We will even give you food, housing and medical care. You won't have to work and you can go to the races every weekend! Wink

Edmonton is a good tip as it has all of the work in oil fields but that is way up in Canada. Another option is live in BC and come over the border to Skagit Speedway. From downtown Vancouver I could get to Skagit in about 2 hours depending on the border. At skagit they race 410, 360 and sportsman sprints weekly. There is also a traveling 360 series with the ASCS NorthWest. If you dont mind 1200 or 600cc mini sprints there is also Deming speedway that runs Friday nights.
