Finally....RACEDAY!!!
Unless a few MOWA guys would make the tow, I'm guessing this will be a strictly IRA field for the 410's. Pretty tough to complain about an all sprint show though. Weather looks awesome, so it should be a great night. It's about time!

Yeah. Thankful it's time. If its only Kerrcher, Balog, Reinke , Young, Neitzel still should be good.

Top 3 at Beaver Dam tonight: Balog, Kertscher, and Jeremy Schultz.
Balog got Kertscher by .009 at the checkered after chasing him through traffic for most of the feature. Awesome race! 24 410's total. Did a complete re-work of the track after qualifying and was pretty racy after that. Great to be back at the races!

Yeah it was good. If Kertcher and Balog weren't there it would have been aweful. Very weak field. Maybe weakest ever. Alden and Borland are getting better though. You Tommy Sexton people should know that that car kicks ass and needs a driver How many races would Donny Goeden win in that car?5T9IXSF24XC48

Tough break by Neitzel to have his front axle snap while leading early on and junking the front end on the 2w. At the time he was pulling away from Kertchner. Could have been a great 3 way battle. Overall an awesome night of sprint car racing with a drive and slide last corner giving Balog the win.

Anyone have any insight on what happened at Beaver Dam last night? Saw they had 26 cars and 80k won. How was the track? Good A-main? Any other worthwhile tidbits for those of us who couldn't make it?

The track was better prepaired this time. The only thin I saw that needs to change is the frigin tires on the inside of the turns need to go. 1 car destroyed and 2 others with front end damage. They do not need to be there at all with the way the track dips down if you get too low. The drivers should demand they get removed before the next show. Balog was slower this time and Ketcher ran hard from the green and never looked back. Sexton would have been a contender if he did not have to shart so far back. The IRA should have the all the details by tomorrow on that new website.
I tell it like I see it.

season is so young still! looking forward to next week at wilmot. will be my first time at an IRA event, helping out a support class car in the pits. definitely a different perspective. one I think I will enjoy more. memorial day weekend is here soon, time for racing to be in full swing!

So not only did Mike Kertscher end up with a 4 race suspension from the Wilmot slide-job incident, but even after they let him come back to race last night, they still were docking him points from the night as an added insult to injury (which he found out about after the show was over)? Nice.
I am rarely critical of the IRA, but I must say this is getting ridiculous. It's quite obvious that the good ol' boy network of the IRA and it's officials have no idea what they are doing and are making the rules as they go. I wouldn't blame the 80k one bit if they took their ball and went home at this point, but as a fan, I hope they keep coming back and keep kicking ass. It seems a whole bunch more 80k feature wins would be the best medicine for the IRA and their biased officiating crew.
Take Kertscher out of the mix last night, and all you would've had was another Balog drubbing of the field just like last weekend. I like in the press release from the race last night on the IRA's website that they have no problem promoting the great race between the 17b and Kertscher, but behind the scenes they're doing everything they can to shit all over him. They have no shame. Kudos to Billy Balog for his victory lane interview. His comments about it being nice that Mike was back and that he liked running against him because "he's not scared" spoke volumes on the situation. Billy gets it. Unfortunately, the IRA does not.
Sorry IRA, I almost always have your back, but the way this situation has been handled has been a joke.

I thought I read somewhere that the 80k was not scheduled to run up North, so if that is true, did he really get suspended for 4 races, or what? Doing everything to shit all over him? He needs to stop running people over, he shit on himself. Got what he had coming.

He was definitely suspended for 4 races. Whether or not he was going to be at those shows, or not, is a moot point.
He got what he had coming? Please show me ONE other case in sprint car racing where a driver was suspended for 4 races and docked points for an on-track, racing incident, and maybe I'll change my opinion. It's unprecedented and it's B.S.

Mike was told he couldn't come back till june 8th,so 4 races. The IRA has done a terrible job with this whole deal and in the end the fans are going to lose if they don't knock it off.I have never seen a suspension like that in my life of going to races.I've seen plenty handed down due to stuff that happened after the flag be it yellow, red, black or checkered, but never for something that happened under green flag situation.I've also seen plenty for what the 2w did AFTER the incident. We debated on going to Beaver Dam because the 17b without the 80k or the other way around is not what we've all come to expect from the IRA.The race was great and all 3 guys in victory lane looked like they had a great time racin, then we find out they still docked 80k points.......BS.You guys that think drivers should be parked for racing deals under GREEN FLAG conditions better be careful what you wish for.

Ok people lets gets some facts straight before slandering an organization. Straight from Steve's mouth. A letter was sent to Mike and the owner of the 80k explaining that he could come and run June 8th but would not be given show up points. This is part in fact to the rain out that happened last Friday night at St Croix. He was still given his points for his on track performance last night

100 percent accurate as this is what was stated at the drivers meeting at Eagle Valley. The issue is over and let's get back to racing.

Rahmer was docked the 160 points he earned for that nights race and could start no better than 24th in the next A-Main held at the speedway, should he make the race. No suspension.

The IRA's penalty to Kertscher was overly excessive, it's not even a debate.
I'm all for moving on to racing, but my advice to the IRA is that when the next suspension is handed out, maybe they should put THAT in a press release so the fans don't have to sit here and speculate on the situation. If a driver is going to be held accountable to that extent for an on-track incident, then it's only fair that the organization justify the amount of penalty given to that driver.
See y'all Saturday!

Balog's 5th, 11th, and 6th with the WoO made it a good weekend to be a Wisconsin sprint car fan! Best showing for a WI driver against the Outlaws ever, as far as I know.
Shout out to the drivers that came out and ran this weekend, and especially Kris Spitz for being at all 3 shows! Gotta love it when someone takes full advantage of getting the experience of running with the pros when they can.

agreed. it's a lotta work & money. & driving. Great turnout btw last night at beaver dam. huge crowd. great atmosphere. I truly believe that if Bill got to start on the first or second row, he could win against the outlaws.
