What is the reason we don't have more USAC 410 races at the PAS ? In one of our lil group conversations at the PAS this was brought up. And it was brought to my attention that this is pretty much up to the promotor. So how about it Don K. Is it attendance or what because the car counts are pretty strong . I am a season ticket holder at your track and would like to see more sprints . Just asking and hoping.

well I guess the cost of the show and the shrinking crowds had a lot to do with the lame schedule.I still think it was a huge mistake to cut the schedule so drastically, but seein how I have no stake in this deal I think I'll just sit back and enjoy what we have and keep my never to be humble opinions to myself.

To tell the truth, we are hoping that Scott Burns with the tracks at Victorville and San Berdoo will be able to fill the gaps. The sprint car situation has improved in a way due to the senior sprints and young guns. This can help grow the sport back to levels we remember from when Ascot was open. What you can do is bring someone new to the track where the sprinters are running. Perhaps one of your guests will become a sprint car racing fan also.

How many more would you like to have? My bet would be that if you went back to 2to 3 races a month, by the end of the summer you would only have enough cars for 2 heats. Could be wrong just my guess.

That is a well put point ,,,,, My guess is the ones that run USAC will not run VV or the Orange show very much,,,,, When it comes to USAC points ,,,, you do not want to take a chance on missing a show due to participating at another race that is not a USAC points race,,,, ,,,,,, Parts will run a little thin,,,,,,, of course you got the #2, two #3s , #44 that have a never ending supply of parts ,,,,, Not like everyone else can do that,,,,,, and stay healthy for a full season,,,,, right now everyone is up and running,,,,, but after last sat at the PAS. ,,,,,,,, a few of the teams may be a little low on parts,,,, and this is just the start of the season. ,,,,,,,, Teams can not afford to spread them selfs to thin.,,,, And stay competitive !!!!!!! ,,,,,,ZZ,,,,,,, AND STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS.

SECOND THOUGHT ROB. ,,,,,,,,,, DO NOT SPEAK UP TWO LOUD ,,,,,,,,,We have ""two "" shows at the PAS in MAY. Don"t want to mess that up. ,,,,,, It would be nice to have a few more shows thrown into the PAS schedule for this year. but I really doubt that would happen . ,,,,,, ZZ ,,,,,, STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS. !!!!!!! I understand where you're coming from...and agree that parts are running a little thinner than they might have been historically. I have a couple of quick notes regarding your posted reply:
1. Route 66 Motorplex (Victorville, CA) and Orange Show Stadium (San Bernardino, CA) Sprint Car races are sanctioned by the United Racing Association (URA). In addition to being good purse, cash-paying races, they are points-paying events as well. The URA will crown a 2013 Champion. These are not one-off, filler shows. The teams, drivers, and fans have more options to add legitimate Sprint Car racing events to their calendars...which is the very purpose of this organization.
2. I can understand how easy it would be to assume that teams that show up to the races in large haulers have an unlimited parts supply. However, if you talk to these teams you'll realize that your assumption isn't necessarily the case these days. The front-running teams are all hurting right now. You'd be amazed at what the budgets are for some of the teams that have been consistently on the podium this year. They are running up front because of their experience in building and setting up fast race cars and their driver's ability to get the job done...not necessarily because of the budget. The econonmy combined with the recent attrition in the first 5 races this year has these guys struggling to keep their equipment in top running order. The 2nd URA Sprint Car race scheduled for March 23rd was cancelled because several teams asked for some time to re-group and to collect new parts. 2-3 races per month is about the limit for the majority of the teams right now....assuming they are not breaking engines and losing chassis each week.

there was a time when scra raced at perris 3 times a month . it does not work for the track . it takes several different classes to keep the track going , and they all cant race on the same night . so go support your local track no matter who is racing , im sure don k . and scott b . would appreciate this .

Hey guys, all it takes for more races and good car counts is MORE MONEY! Go talk to your local business owners and ask them to sponser some race cars or the track! If enough of us do that, we might be able to see our sport grow instead of disapear!! Its pretty simple though, MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, it makes the race cars go round and round!! :-)

Doug. ,,,,,,First off ,, I did not mean to come across that I was down playing VV or the Orange SHOW. ,,, I can"t wait for the Orange to open up. And I have been to VV 3 times. ,,,,And loved the the whole atmosphere . ,,,,,, But back to the car counts. ,,,,,, as of now every one is up and running . ,,, a lot of parts got used up at the PAS last sat. ,,,,,,,, Matt lost a motor last sat. he will most likely down for a while ,,,,,, john hayden,,,, Looks like he is going to need a NEW car,,,, that thing was toast. ,,,,, But what I was trying to get across,,, is when we get two thirds of the way thru the season ,,,,when the replacement parts and the money budget is at grabs. ,,,, anyone in the top 15 in USAC points. ,,,,, will most likely just run USAC,,,,,, You got 2 big days of the BUD Nationals . ,,,, You gotta have extra parts,,,,,, if not a back up car ,,, if you are running for the USAC Champion points. ,,,,,, This is just common sense. ,,, The end of the season is going to be tuff on a lot of teams . ,,,,,,You have a few teams that can maybe can support all 3 tracks back to back to back with plenty of parts ,,,,,,,the williams family with 4 cars for example,,,,, to have a money backed team like that is just outstanding . ,, I"am sure VV and the Orange show will get there fair show of cars from USAC. ,,,,I think things will work out just fine . ,,,,,,,,,,,,, ZZ. ,,,,,,,, AND STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS.,,,,,,
