I was just reading my new sprint magazine [that somehow came before april] and was reading the national ascs schedule and saw that placerville wasnt on there any more. So i came in and checked the computer for placerville, and sure enough its not on the schedule anymore..I dont no what happened but lets get it together guys {promoter and ascs] lets get that race back there .Dont let a few dollars or whatever keep a good race from the fans there .. when i do go there it is always packed and is a great place to watch a race..If anyone has any light on this please let me know thanks OH YAH HAPPY EASTER

Alan has really tried, a 1 day show and a 2 day show, both were financial disasters. many of these travelling series have gotten their contributions up to the point that its impossible for a short track to do much better than break even. If you dont have 5000 seats you can;t make it work. If the outlaws werent renting most of the facilities they race at they'd have no races....paul

Problem with promoters in Northern California is they are lazy and don't promote their product. They just keep making the back gate pay the bills when if they got off their ass and actually promoted i.e.: (stockton race) they might be able to make some money and put on some grand shows instead of exist and screw the teams and crew at the back gate! During the late 80's and very early 90's I use to see ads in paper, radio ect for sprint car racing and since not a sniff. For example Chico in general and "Gold Cup" use to be a premier show and happening and a money maker until about 2000 and then the promotion stopped, promoter got lazy, track went to hell, car counts dwindled and now Chico is a faint shadow of it's self. Why promote when the racers will pay the bills and you can sit on your ass???
