Is he a little overrated as a winged sprint car driver? He's averaged just under two wins a year for 25 years. Just a question. I think the whole "wild child" is there for a reason. A lot of times he starting in the back and may manage a top 10. One win, eight top fives this year.

have you ever watched haud come through a field of cars? even if he doesn't win he is something to see. a lot of times jac is THE SHOW. too bad his stats do not reflect that. plus haud is a favorite where ever he goes. a lot of jacs popularity comes from that. no matter what poeple love the guy. they know that when haud rolls out on the track he is there for one reason, to try to win. nothing is held back. it all depends on the rating system you use. fans of sprint car racing have rated haud high in their hearts for years.

Haud hasn't been a weekly winner since being a K-Ville regular about 20 years ago, but he has won the Mini Gold cup, a couple Gold Cups, The Front Row Challenge, King's Royal a couple times, The Historical Big One, The Mopar Million, and the Trophy Cup. These are some of the most prestigious races around. He is probably the most exciting driver ever to watch. If starting in the back and passing 10-15 cars paid the bills he would be the richest driver around !

That guy should be banned for a stupid remark such as that. We know he hasn't watched Haud.

He has paid for my price of admission a zillion times over the years. Nuff said! WF081 is totally lost on this one. Go back under the rock that you crawled out from under..

Jac is one of the most exciting drivers to watch - at Eldora especially. He's won the biggest of races and he is consistently a contender even if he doesn't win them all! Over-rated?? Are you kidding me?
Heck - he even won the most prestigious award of all - the 2006 www.PitGate.com Driver of the Year award!! LOL - that ought to say something right there!

I've seen Haud come through the field. I never said the guy wasn't popular.

Lets not forget the 99 Front Row Challenge. Haud took the bet, started dead last and the rest is history (execpt in WFO81's book)

He may only have 45 WoO features, but throw in all the other sanctioning bodies and open races, and we're talking hundreds of wins.

I don't remember ever hearing Haud say something like:"The RC Cola, Weed-B-Gone, Stanleys Bail Bonds Chevrolet really was hooked up to get 37th place today"
Everytime I have ever seen him race, he came to "win it or wear it". I doubt there will be anyone like him for a long time.....

I'd put my money on Haud in M M A too. Anyone else remember the radius rod or what ever that went thru the front of his helmet and on the next red flag stuffing a rag in his mouth to stop the bleeding so he could finish the race? That earns him huge bonus points in my book of great drivers of any era. 120 lbs of pure tough guy.
