Ive been watching the Outlaws since late 80's and watching them on their current West Coast swing has me wondering the last time I've seen them in a total sum look so disjointed, un organized and just plain not good. I'm talking the teams themselves. I don't ever remember in 25 years seeing so many outlaws on track look so bad as the last three weeks. I mean the talent on the west coast is ok, but nothing like the mid 90's yet the cali boys are holding their own and the outlaws look bad. Steve, Sammy, Sides, Joey, Donnie look lost!!!! As, well so do many more. Gravel has looked great as does McMahan but just wondering if age isnt catching up as a whole with this association. I do realize that the rotating, shrinking crew member situation hurts as well as being young and inexperienced, not all but more than in years past. I also would agree its still early but many of the guys out here on the West Coast cant remember ever seeing the Outlaws look so bad. I will say when Steve and Sammy decide to quit here soon your going to see a major vacuum happen and then we shall see if the Outlaws can stay afloat. I give it a 50/50 chance at best. Anybody else agree or disagree or have opinions. This is just a objective observation and not being critical.

Back in the days when they came to Devils Bowl, they used to get beat by Gary Wright on occasion. The last few years they've been getting spanked when they to go Pennsylvania. It's called competition, it has nothing to do with age.

I remember Brent Kaeding leading the WoO points (or being top 2 or 3) multiple seasons during the CA swing in the late 80's and early 90's.

It's nothing new.

Tim is the only Cali guy that can run with the outlaws. Everyone else is a one hit wonder. I agree with 38 Sammy and Joey use to be fast then they changed one thing now they are field fillers. Maybe they should try that 305 car. Speed wise they compare.

Tim is also the only guy with the financial backing comparable to that of an Outlaw team. He is also pretty damn good. On the smaller to mid sized tracks, the Outlaws dominance is just not the same as it is on the 1/2 mile, huge HP tracks, and the good local teams stand a chance.

The King will be okay as soon as the tracks slick up and weather gets Hotter; his cars are better in the Heat of Summer !

Last year A main at the nationals had 5 drivers from California. Not one other state had as many drivers. TK, Kyle Larson, Jon Allard, Jason Meyers, and Paul Mcmahan. I think the talent of the drivers out here in California is better than the rest of the country.

Can't believe someone could say this when Kyle Larson just won a feature with them less than a week ago...

When did Sammy become "too old"? You cats have been writing him off the last 10 years.

Hilarious.

Stealth...I think some people type faster than they think.

Don't forget ALLARD has had many good runs with the travelers.

I think the Outlaws are at their best on 1/2 mile dry slick tracks especially in July and Aug the tracks they run are consistant. Take Tulare it comes in some time during qualifing then goes away, all during heats it is hit or miss, by the time the main rolls around here comes the grader/water truck/rotery hoe the track is slick for a while then goes dry then the moisture starts appearing in areas. TK and Allard are alway on the move a few laps here then search find a place where they can hook up. That is not Shatz or Kinser. SS likes to find a place to run and just get better and better watch him in Merced on the bottom alway protecting so 1/2 a car off is all he will get. On a consistant big surface the outlaws really shine
