As much as I love all types of Sprint Car racing. I kinda wish this 360 series would go away and we stick to just the 410s . Most of the guys that run this series also have 410s and let's face it USAC/CRA could use more local racing down here in So Cali. This thread will probably get washed away but I think if the people running USAC on the west coast have their way the 410s would go away. Also I still can't see how promoters can also be in charge of a series and race directors. Seems like a conflict of interest to me. Just my opinion. But I'm just a fan what do I know. Sure hope the URA takes hold and we can be at OSS a couple times a month.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

I've always thought that one of the reasons USAC went 360 in Cali was to stop the other corporation, the ASCS, from getting into the Cali market. I also think one of the reason the AZ non wing Canyon series was dropped by Emmitt was because he wasn't able to expand it into Cali, or N.M., and I thank both states for that! LOL Now that USAC has picked up the 360 ball over here in AZ along with Kevin Montgomery, there's not a chance the 360's are going anywhere Randy.

Statement: "I kinda wish this 360 series would go away and we stick to just the 410s."

Signature Line: "....We need more sprint car racing."

Obviously we all would love more racing at a venue closer to our homes, but to wish for a series to go away, and leave the central velley tracks dark for the majority of the season, doesn't seem like it's fair for everyone.

Thats a ridiculous statement. What a blinkered and self serving statement. You want more 410 racing, move to Indiana where the race tracks and fan base can support that sort of racing.

Of the 21 cars that fronted for the Bakersfield race I can think of only six cars with 410's. Leaving fiftteen cars, on the scrap heap I guess because it doesnt meet with your approval. Of the series regulars, the ones who do not own a 410 outnumber the teams who do at least four to one.

You might be happy with the handful of 410 shows around but I and a lot of drivers want more racing than what the CRA series has to offer. How many teams are going to tow from Tulare / Hanford area to Victorville? If they wont travel to Santa Maria for a series point race why in the world would they tow as far as Orange Show or Victorville to run their expensive new 410 for a purse similar to what they get for running their 360. Most of those teams would end up out of racing or into another class that is popular where they are based.

It is also not a straight purse switch. The CRA series costs more to run at your track. So instead of getting 360 shows, you might get NOTHING instead.

If they go to Victorville or the Orange Show they can run anything they want, even the LS engine in Randy's Vett!
