LoneStar Speedway’s Season Fires Off This Saturday, March 23

Kilgore, TX (3/20/13) by DarinShort.com. The first point’s race of the season is
scheduled at LoneStar Speedway (LSS) on Saturday, March 23rd and will
feature $1,000 to win Modifieds; plus Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds.

This will also be the first appearance of a new division at LSS, which is the Beginner Factory Stocks. The Beginner Factory Stocks will compete in a six lap event at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled races.

The Easter Bunny will make an appearance this Saturday night during the massive Easter Egg hunt for the kids. Drivers are urged to bring Easter Eggs as well. There will also be drawings for two kids bicycles.

So grab the kids, have them do their stretching exercises and be ready to grab a bunch of Easter Eggs – and maybe a brand new bike too!

The Factory Stocks rules have the following posted edits in 2013. Complete rules are available for download at the track website. These are the only rules
changes from 2012 to 2013, but they will be in force this coming
Saturday night.

-If you have any aluminum aftermarket body panels on your car, you must weigh 3,300# with driver after race.

-OEM Steel bodied cars still must weigh a minimum of 3,000# with driver after race.

Reminder: 10” wheels are not allowed. 8” wheels only. All weight must be painted white with car number.

Also mark your calendars for Saturday, April 6th when the Lucas Oil Late
Models return to LoneStar Speedway with the 3rd Annual $10,000 to win
High Banks Havoc. All three LSS points divisions will also be in action.
Last year’s event saw three lead changes in the last two laps of the
50-lap championship event and had fans on the edges of their seat. Don’t
miss what will certainly be a wild night of racing, with the top Late
Model drivers from across the country converging at LSS.

Here are some quick facts for the March 23 event:

-Grandstands open at 5pm, with racing at 7:00pm. Pits open at 4pm

-General Admission just $12 (ages 12 to 64)

-Kids (ages 6-11) just $5

-Ages 5 and under admitted free with adult admission

-Active Military or Senior (Ages 65+): General Admission $10

-Upgrade any ticket to the Reserved Section for $5 per person

-All Pit Passes $30

-No outside food/drink coolers are allowed inside, a full selection of
economically priced food concessions, including beer, are available

-Click www.LoneStarSpeedway.com for directions, class rules, payback and much more.

OK, after looking a my submitted post versus what I had entered, I have to ask the question:

Is anyone else experiencing formatting errors when posting? I couldn't change the font, font size, insert hyperlinks...and it's been going on for quite a while.

...and I tried in both Firefox and Explorer...same result.

No biggie, but I try to make these posts look nice for easy reading, but sometimes I can't win for losing, LOL...
