I thought all the calif. cars were racing with the woo at the thunderbowl. I guess this race is far away and a 360 race.

Most KWS 410 drivers race with the WoO when they are in CA and the 360 drivers usually stay closer to home and race at local tracks and with the Civil War! The reason the KWS season doesn't start until April 20th is because the Outlaws are in CA until the middle of April! There should be a a lot of talented 360 drivers at Marysville this weekend and the track a few weeks ago was really fast!
Mr.Highside: Have you been to Marysville before? They have really improved it over the years but you have to get there early because they have a smaller grandstands! Tuluare is also an awesome track but it is really far from where I live so I only go to 1 or 2 races a year! Marysville is only a 10 minute drive for me
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

alot of people from back east have trouble understanding how big california is. a racer from paris may never meet a racer from chico. I think you have to drive from pennsylvania to florida to get the same distance. depending on the number of CHP out its around 4.5 hrs from marysville to tulare...paul

This is why and has been and always will be why race fans in Nor Cal have a bad liking for a certain promoter in Placerville who insists and continues to run his Civil War races over any and all 410 races and why the 360 fans allow and continue to support this is crazy. I'm not the only one to think this way. Make the drive to Tulare and see a real sprint car race. P.S. Yes I will admit that Marysville has made many upgrades but the pits are horrible, many teams have told the ownership with nothing done, its like a junk yard in the pits. As well, KWS raced there last year and packed the place and the owner this year balked on booking a KWS race saying they didnt bring the crowd. Ah................ok, sure whatever you say .

Ya and you're the same guy who thought Marysville was in the Northwest region when you wanted an ASCS NW show.
Pick your logic and stick to it will ya.

Thanks for the info. I thought the two tracks were far away. Sounds like the 410 guys have it better with two nights vs one night for the 360's. They also race for 10k to win each night.

rotor glow, KWS is not at mrp cause the 410 promoter got greedy and bumped the buy for the second year in a row to the point that it was not profitable to run them. same deal with why we don't run the world of outlaws. while they CAN fill the stands on occasion, they require another class for a full show and have a pathetic back gate. his nevada races are closer than Tulare, would you have us go dark on sprints when he runs there?
Big Rob, watch the sky, there are some hawks out there that think that dog tastes like chicken....paul

I don't think the car counts will suffer for either event being as there are certain 410 drivers and certain 360 drivers. As for the quality of racing both are great. the civil war shows are always on point. I think both shows will have over 30 cars. And as for 410 vs 360 out here on these little tracks on the west coast I've seen good 360's run with the best 410's, on bigger tracks that would never work but on our little west coast bullrings it does me fine.

There isnt a 360 in the world that can keep up with a good 410 at Tulare when its hooked up and flying. I would agree with you though when were talking about a 1/4 mile track and dry slick.
I understand the mileage between the Civil War and WoO races this weekend but for diehard fans it sucks they have to make a choice. That said I hope both shows get great crowds and even better car counts.
Cheers!

Tulare is my favorite track and the best track in California, but unfortunately is about a 5 hour drive from when I live so I don't get to go there much! If you haven't made the trip to Tulare I recommend going for the Trophy Cup, getting a hotel room, and making a weekend out of it! The track is very wide which makes for 3 wide racing and the stands are made of concrete- just a really great facility!
Marysville is a fast little 1/4 mile track that is only 10 minutes away so I go there for the big 360 races and take my kids too! You got to get there early because they have limited seating and they don't have any shade for the grandstands but once the sun goes down it is fine. They also have good track food and Fern's tacos are yummy and also the kettle corn. If you buy a program they call out numbers so you can win gift certificates.
I agree Henry I have no idea why a 360 would go to an Outlaws show when there is no way they really could compete with the horsepower of a 410!
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

Good luck marysville, any 360 driver worth a darn would run Tulare anytime they have a chance because, its not the easiest track to master, track time is essential to running good at Tulare,if u plan on running at Trophy cup, gets some laps when u can dont wait until Trophycup or u will be beating your head on trailer in frustation,I agree Thunderbowl is the best in the state, cant wait,i will be there.Running against the 410 shows is dumb, its ok to run mods and stocks against the 410 shows, the fans are usually different in what they like,Placerville doesnt run the outlaws, does anyone know why?

Any 360 driver worth a damn would not give up running at Marysville (or any other track), if they lived close to the area and are running CW points. They would spend less than to travel 4+ hrs south on the 99, have a shot at first place money if there are worth a damn vs. travel expenses to run at Tulare against the WoO regulars plus the top 410 teams in the state with a hope of just making the main event and the minimal $$$ 21st place would pay. Not getting lapped in a 360 would be a huge accomplishment, but probably unlikely to not happen at Tulare. Pick a different date to run a 360 against a less formidable field. Unless they live in the area, which is possible with Rebel Cup regulars, i don't know how many 360 teams will compete this weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if less than 1 showed up. Both tracks will have a good car count, no doubts in my mind.
