What's up with the new rule on the restarts? Apparently Saldana went too early and it cost him the win. Has this rule changed since Vegas? What?????

Its not like WRG had ALL offseason to filter through their rulebook and highlight any new changes,..... !! I guess, if its a rule that doesn't make or break a competitors night immediately and can be further investigated and reiterated to teams of their ignorance than so be it . but, this (subject to change) policy will be strongarmed to anyone finding fault or dispute in the change. the start rule will be phantomly dictated in" race instances" and" tracks" ,"rare occasions" or "authority having jurisdiction" that's just the way it goes, and sadly, total B.S. Lets make 70 or 80 more rules so nobody understands it , hell, second one to tell me how awesome I am wins! Shame on WRG . Bogus..

at all WoO drivers meetings, starts and restarts procedures are explained,i think last year the rules for doubled up was the leader can restart between 2 different points in turn 3 and four, flag man waves green when leader gets to second point automatically, did the rule change from that i dont know.

As far as I know that's how it still is -- on a restart the leader can start after a certain point in three and if he hasn't started by the time he gets to a certain point in turn four the flagman will wave the green anyway. If the leader picks up the pace prior to reaching the pre-determined point in turn three he can be called for jumping the start. Without video tonight -- can't be totally sure what happened there ... but apparently they thought Joey started too early.

If the leader restarted before the first point for restarts, thats a jump and will be penalized, did not see the race,so i dont know what saldana did wrong if anything wrong.

During the second night of the Vegas stream, they announced the rule had been changed, and that the leader could start the race once he hit the line in turn four. Not sure what went down tonight, but I thought it was strange that they changed it three races or so into the season.

All the restarts I watched on YouTube from Larson Night were nothing short of a total fiasco in row 3 on back...
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

That's the way they explained it the other night on dirtvision. Dont understand why the rule was changed after the start of the season. Wonder if STP exerted some pressure with this decision?

I heard that Smoke was so upset over the ragged restarts on Weds that he didn't come back on Thurs... but wasn't listening to DV closely and didn't hear the rule was changed. Hmmm....

Why do you have an account on these forums if you don't care about sprint car racing? Idiot.

The rule change they announced in Vegas was that the leader still gets to start first, but it has to be at the line in 4. I'd say they have some work to do clarifying that.

I have been to many WoO drivers meeting all starting procedures are discussed and any rule changes are discussed, during most of theses meetings some drivers and crew members are cutting up and not paying attention,if this continues more lessons will be learned on the race track, that can be eliminated by listening carefully at the drivers meeting.

Haven't you heard, SLINKMASTERC has a Masters Degree in Posse know it all...
Which means, he could pretty much care less about what goes on in the world beyond posse soil...
Opinions may vary...

After the fuel stop before they finished a lap in the twenty twelve Williams Grove National Open, I'm pretty convinced that the World of Outlaw Series should start all of their starts and restarts in a single file order...
Opinions may vary...

No I pretty much posted just to get On WoO's nerve,( all in Fun) but yeah could care less if someone got a penalty for jumping or not jumping a start.....LOL. It happens all the time with the Outlaws so it is nothing new. I think they should Start at the Flag stand where it should be started.Where you can't get on the gas till the leader does at the Start/Finish line. On another note it was Good to see you today even though you blew me off. I guess I'm not good enough to chat for a min. anymore.
