I feel bad about this actually, Johnson is a very good racer. Their 360 program is on point. Hopefully someone sends a blueprint of a Chevy 410 to Roush-Yates.
do it in the dirt

He is a very good driver. Several drivers did not do too well these past two nights. He and Dobmeier will have a long ride home!

B Main... Thats like the D Main at Williams Grove... He was better off with Jim & Sandy

If he wants to race, he's not. The 22 is parked the last I checked. I guess they ran out of money buying all those over priced chevs.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

How about we recap the outstanding performance of the FORD the past two evenings?
WED MAR 6th 8th in "B" MAIN aka last chance race winnings $150.00
THUR MAR 7th 15th in "B" MAIN aka last chance race winnings: $150.00
That will buy them enough diesel for their hauler to get them to.....Tucumcari, N.M. !!!
(I think such a dismal two nights of racing could be attributed to the motor...not the driver!)

If there were as many people spending as many hours in development of the Ford power plant as there are for the Chevies, there would be some pretty competitive Fords. Seems to me that Ford could give a rats ass about dirt racing. Rightfully so I might add as they really don't have anything to gain in backing it. I don't think that people buy the Chevy Impala because a Chevy runs well in a Sprint Car!
When people invested themselves in Mopar those engines were pretty dominant, and like the Chevies and the Fords none of them were really factory backed. This is a silly argument. I want to know where the Toyotas and the Hondas are. If Toyota or Honda invested themselves in Sprint Cars like they do in other series Chevy might just be in trouble! Seems like the Toyotas do alright for themselves in Nascar and Midgets. (Of course they really aren't factory either, but the argument fits here.)

sprinter79 I was disappointed when Al Gore didn't come up with the "electric sprint car" I had "heard" about!
I just have fun with the "Ford" guys on here.
Your points are well taken. Other than ROUSH-YATES is there anyone out there working on the Ford for sprint cars? I don't know of anyone.
I wonder how many people "really think" the Chevy, Toyota, et al, they watch on Sunday is really the same car they want to buy on Monday? Years ago...that was somewhat true but I don't think it is quite as prevalent in today's society.

I get it opnwhlr,...........Sometimes it is just fun to stir the pot. That is all that I did, I really could care less. I think that it is funny that this subject keeps coming back, so sometimes we just need to wade in and see where it leads! .............................I am relatively sure that there are many who think that there is a connection between race cars and street cars in the Nascar crowd, not so much in the open wheel ranks. Stir Stir Stir..................By the way, did you see the electric Midget in Circle Track Magazine????

Anyone that thinks these "Chevy" motors have anything in common with anything out of the GM catalog clearly haven't been around one in person. No different then the Roush/Yates engines with Ford. The blocks, the heads, everything about these motors are built by aftermarket companies, they simply share similar castings with exceptions to fix the factory flaws. Ford's (and others)factory engines can have things done that the dirt sanctioning bodies won't allow, Chevy's can't and dont. Chevy's original small block is the simplest and the cheapest, that's the formula dirt car racing has chosen. By far the best small block Chevy has every built is the LS series, which makes the LT and the original small block in every sprint car made completely obsolete...... and guess what, it's not allowed either other than that 427 program in the midwest that has gone nowhere.

sprinter79...speaking of NASCAR...did you read where Brian & Lisa and gang fined Hamelin $25 big ones because he spoke out against the new car after last Sunday's race? He said he is NOT going to pay the fine. As they say on that cooking program..."We shall see whose words reign supreme!"

Sorry opnwhlr,
I don't watch Nascar and I don't know who Brian and Lisa are. I suspect however that Hamlin will soon find that he is not going to be in a car if he refuses to play by Nascar's rules. It is very hard however to not know who the Nascar drivers are, so I know who Hamlin is.

I agree with you there. I got talked into watching the start of one race by a friend of mine, but as soon as I heard that yo-yo yell boogity boogity boogity I got up and walked away. That was enough for me that day. I also saw the last lap of The Daytona 500 that Harvick won. I have no clue what year that was or anything. I just know that I was not impressed. If I wanted to watch 30 cars draft down the road I would sit at an overpass on the highway during rush hour.
