Here's something to get the board moving back to sprint cars. In the Florida swing for USAC, Chase Stockon, the next big thing in USAC, was quick time in two of the three nights, setting a track record at one venue. He won two heats, one from 6th, I believe, and he took a fourth, seventh, and third in the three features and is second in points for USAC National sprint cars, trailing first by only 4 points!! A great season is on its way!!!
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

The way I understand it, Clausen is in the sprint car ride for the year and Levi is cutting back on his schedule and running mainly the Silver Crown car for Stewart.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

There was a profile of Levi in SC&M not long ago, and I got the impression that he was nearing a point where he wanted to back away from racing a little bit. I guess he may have finally reached that point. Perhaps his injury last year helped the decision.

This has been a good year so far for Chase. He ran the fastest lap during any of the qualifying nights at Chili Bowl this year (Yes even faster than both Swindell's). If you go to a USAC sprint car race this year, do yourself a favor and stop down to say Hi to Chase and his Father. Some of the nicest hard working guys you will ever meet. Hope nothing but the best for them this year!
Real race cars don't have fenders...

Amen!! You're absolutely right, Stealth. It is only Chase and his Wife, and his Dad when he can travel with them. Uncle George Prosser helps out from time to time also. Just a great young man following his dream. His Grandfather, Sam was a Silver Crown champ, I believe in '61. Stop by, chat, grab a t-shirt. Chase does the graphics on them and he also had DVD's he produced that he gives to the kids. Believe me, it would be a few minutes of your time you would count as one of your great experiences at the track!

Levi is backing off from racing to help with the family business. I actually can't believe why so many people are so "shocked" that Levi is out and Clauson is in. IT's USAC, these dudes change rides like their underwear.

That's a bummer for Levi, even if he's racing all the silver crown races for Stewart, working for the family biz during the day time is a step back. I've still not seen video of him pushing Stanbrough into wall, and Stanbrough's the man, so I'm nervous I may not feel bad for Levi anymore once I do.
