The weather guesser websites all say sunny/ no precip with highs in the upper 70's and lows in the mid to upper 40's.

The question I have is....can I trust that the Peoria Az forecast temps are valid for the track or is it up in the hills far enough to factor in some cooler temps?

As long as I have a couple of locals on the line....

I need to kill some time on Thursday afternoon and Saturday......any reccomendations for things to do? Any racing museums or similar places to go? I have never been to the Phoenix area before and don't want to sit in the hotel room in between Peoria and the NASCAR races. (I'm going to the big track on Friday morning and all day Sunday...that is enough of that rat race!)

In & Out Burger and the new Portillo's (opening tomorrow) are already on the list.

Agreed. I would deffinitely bring some warm clothes. When the sun goes down the temperature will drop fast.

Hey, you need to go to the racers advantage store and museum. There's also and racers safety equipment superstore (Parker Store, Steve Stroud) while your in town... The museum is open 9-1 Saturday, and all day weekdays. https://www.facebook.com/RacersAdvantageStore The museum is a must see!

"A pretty good driver stopped by the Museum recently...He has been very busy doing some racing and some winning...We wish him great sucess this racing season...with Kyle Larson and the Larson family"..

I miss the Copper Classic. Went over for quite a few years and loved going out to Manzy for the races. A few of us use to have a "kitty" on what hour the mini-mart across the street would get robbed!! Smile

Hey speedbump. We were there last November for the last ASCS race and took the neatest trip to the University of Phoenix football stadium. Pro team stadium. Well worth the time and money. The playing field moves outdoors until game days. Engineering marvel, neat background stories. Highly recommend. And if you are a baseball fan, spring training going on. Might catch that during some day games.

I always thought the Copper World Classic at Phoenix was a good race. Midgets , Silvercrown and Super Modifieds on the big track. What ever happened to this race?

I lived in the Phoenix area for a few years. I used to race league at this place. Not your ordinary amusement park go-karts. A ton of fun!! Up to 45mph on two different quarter mile tracks.
