Can you tell me what the format will be? Time trials, heats ad features for all 4 divisions each night?
BTW, IMCA modifieds do not need to be part of the show....gonna be enough racing without them wearing out the track.

What, you're not going to go if you don't like the formats? This is going to be a great show with both the Midgets and the 410 CRA/USAC Sprints, and for two day's in March! What's not to like, and where are you going to be flying in from?
BTW, all the bitching about most everything on this forum is like a speed bump, a pain in the ass!
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

Who is bitching? I just would like to know what to expect before I get there. (I am a bit of a format geek.....I believe the format plays a major role in the potential entertainment value of a race evening).
But since you asked "what is not to like", I will reiterate....modifieds. They will extend the length of both evenings by an hour or so and usually kill a track surface quickly. IMHO, a support "budget" class does not belong on the card of a marquee special event. (I know, back gate, back gate, back gate)

As far as I'm concerned that can keep both of the other divisions home, but you and I both know why their there, and we make the most of it. Oh, I didn't make the Wednesday show for the Winter Challenge, and I was surprised to hear some of my hard core sprint car friends saying the modifieds put on the best show because of the tight track racing conditions.
I'd suggest you get there early and meet some of the great people who are either there camping, or just there early to hang out and bench race... Heck, my xwife is even flying in from Colorado for this show, and yes, she sit's with me.
CRA/USAC will have their regular format with qualifying as far as I know, and since the Midgets are USAC sanctioned, I'd guess it would be the same for them as well. I'm thinking a new and full show for both divisions each night, but I just don't know yet.
Now where you coming in from?

I can't wait for this event. I am flying in from the east coast for this one. I am meeting my father with our car from Colorado for our first run at Canyon.
With this being a Friday Saturday show and the Vegas WoO show the next Wednesday and Thursday it will make for an awesome week of racing.

Flying in from Denver, live about 1.5 miles west of the Red Rocks park.
I'll be there on Thursday for practice and Fri/Sat in the "suites" and pits. Going to the big track on Fri and Sun.

Coming from St. Louis for the first time. I still need to get a hotel for the weekend. Does anyone know a good place to stay? I am also going to the big track on Sat. and Sun., so it would be nice to stay some where in the middle between the tracks.
