Pre Entries for $2000 to win NCRA Sport Mod Scramble Accepted!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas – February 7, 2013 - The biggest event in the tours young five year history is set to take place on Friday and Saturday night, April 5-6th at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas as the track will host the inaugural "Sport Mod Scramble" featuring the season opener for the Bob Howard PDC and Mopar National Championship Racing Association presented by Precise Racing Products southern sport modified division. Northern sport modifieds will also be allowed and there is no mixing or matching of these rules.

Saturday night's championship finale will pay $2000 to the feature winner with drivers just making the twenty-four car field taking home $400. This event is NOT based on car count. Below is the official payout for this event:

A Feature: 1) $2000, 2) $1500, 3) $1000, 4) $700, 5) $600, 6-10) $500, 7-24) $400

B Feature: 1-5) Transfer, 6) $300, 7) $275, 8) $250, 9) $225, 10) $200, 11) $175, 12) $150, 13-14) $125, 15-24) $100

Last Chance Feature: 1-4) Transfer, 5-20) $100

Pre entry fee is $75 but MUST BE POST MARKED BY March 15, 2013. Late entry and/or entry on race day is $125.

Itinerary for both nights:

· All cars/drivers must draw for two (2) different heat races

· Passing points will be added together to give you the starting position for Saturday night's features

· The top fourteen (14) drivers will be locked into the "A" feature with the top ten doing a redraw on Saturday night for starting spots in the 50 lap Championship finale

Official NCRA southern sport mod or northern sport mod rules will be allowed and there is NO MIXING or rules. Gates will open on Friday night at 5:00 pm with racing set for a 7:30 pm start time. Championship Saturday night gates will also open at 5:00 pm with the start time moved to 7:00 pm.

81 Speedway is located north of Wichita on I-135 to exit 16, then .7 mile west on 77th St. in Park City. For more race and ticket information contact the 81 Speedway office (316) 755-1781.

Since 1971 the NCRA has sanctioned dirt track races across the Great Plains with the series currently sanctioning five other divisions. They include modifieds, southern sport modifieds, late models, 360 sprint cars, 305 sprint cars and new mod lites. The 2013 season for the National Championship Racing Association is the 43rd anniversary season with races scheduled at sixteen different race tracks across Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri.
