Can you believe this. I was a member on another message board (WMB) and was thrown off for posting the 1st amendment of the constitution.I posted nothing else in the post and got banned for life.WHAT is this country coming to.The (WMB) must be in tight with the Obama administration!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Unbelievable.

Garbage? First Amendment? Liberty? Engaging in sprint car racing?
I don't see the connection between the garbage and any of the others. It is possible that the proper medium has NOT been selected to voice one's opinion, or that the method of expressing oneself has fallen short of effective, possibly twice.

I imagine you were thrown off because they want to keep their website non political. I am a conservative myself and I don't believe that politics should be enmeshed in every single aspect of my life. I come here to read about racing...not the constitution. If I wish to express my political views and beliefs or support one of my many causes...I do it in more appropriate settings.

A sprint car message board to discuss rumors, notes and quotes in sprint car racing is what this site was founded for in - well about 1998 I think it was. A great place to come every single day and got facts and rumors and people cared about our sport of dirt track racing.
But somewhere along the way, the last five to eight years or so, we get bullshit, politics, personal attacks on series and drivers that have talent and idiotic posts. Thus what we deal with and this is one of those.....
my first ammendment post - sprint car related. .

Well If you posted about Tyler Walker when there are 3 posts telling everyone not to or you will be kicked off. That's your fault. The site don't let you post any ones Dirty laundry,(news or hearsay) because all it does is cause problems on the Board. Just look what happen on this board. It's bash the hell out of someone city, then arguing goes on for 5 pages. Their Board their rules.

Posting about political stuff is as bad as posting about Danica Patrick on these forums. Leave all that stuff for the proper forums. Just remember that we come to these forums for inside information on SPRINT CAR racing. Who gives a shit about anything else?

i support free speech.
that amendment only gives one the freedom to express their opinion of the government without threat of incarceration or retaliation.
it does not extent to private clubs or entities including private message boards that have the right to make and enforce their own rules.
you don't have the right to do or say anything you want to anyone without the possibility of retribution. they have the right to do and say anything they want right back. it works both ways.
freedom of speech against anyone or anything except the government is not something that can be done with impunity.
the free speech thing in this country has gone way past what the first amendment intended. the constitution was designed to protect people from the government. it wasn't designed to give people free reign to do or say anything they want to each other without consequence.
to indy and beyond!!

Thank you David Smith for stating the exact reason for our "racing talk boards" I am for sure an American, will defend the 1st amendment with every breath.....but....this is a racing forum....period.....

The Grove's message board is the perfect definition of the word hypocrisy. When the deal went down with Walker's infantile tantrum at the Grove there was a Williams Grove official throwing all kinds of personal attacks and member bashing. But the moderator done nothing to the official while banning others. This same official had/has a habit of bashing other tracks too yet the moderator let it slide while continuously threatening and banning other posters.

Thinking the same thing miledirtfan, Another sucker that P.T. Obama is getting to. Lord knows there are enough of them.
Alot of sprint car fans also camp out the races & they talk about that from time to time. Whether it's a good or bad experience, hookups, etc..
Alot of people like to talk about the soap opera surrounding Danica Patrick & her life, I skip over those threads.
I watch NBC & take everything they say with a grain of salt.

Just don't post anything about Beamers...Flat Tire Rules....all associated with the Walker debacle... 
It took them 2 days to catch my camoflaged post about flat tires....
They do have double standards at times on the WGMB.....Say something marginally sarcastic about Rahmer, etc....bang. Do the same to a Kevin Nouse...no biggie.

Enjoying weekly competitive 410
racing from February to October at any one of 5 or 6
tracks only 15 minutes to 1 hour from my soft bed..
