The best track announcer is Brian Liskai. He is the announcer for Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway in Ohio. Plus he was just awarded the 2012 Tom Carnegie Track Announcer of the Year Award.

Bobby and Troy together at the TCup, as far as all the tracks i have been to. Others may be better, I have not heard them all. A better topic would be who the worst track announcer is. I nominate Bockhoven.

In my opinion - and my neck of the woods.....
Randy Ward was/is exceptional by any standard.
Best I've EVER heard on the call - Jack Claxton.
My current choice in this area is Bob Oertle - announcer at Tulsa's Port City Raceway. For a show that regularly pulls around 150 cars a week (with a variety each week) in one of the largest hubs of mini sprint racing in the country - Bob does an exceptional job. He doesn't blather (something prob 50% of tracks suffer from)- always good, informative info and he does good passing the time between races. Which at Port City - where 150+ cars on a 1/8th mile high banked bullring - there's like close to 30 heats and a double digit number in features....So there isn't much down time at all. But for the great racing that place puts on 85% of the time - Bob Oertle's announcing adds even more quality to the show. I'm not very familiar with his work in the motorcycle stuff - I know he does a LOT of stuff in those series - but I expect he's very good at that as well.
It's a good sign of promoting when a local track promoter takes their announcing very seriously - as well as post race info such as race results, points, etc in a timely manner (timely as in - NIGHT OF imo).
How much would could a wouldchuck chuck if a

Wade Aunger and Gavin White are an awesome team.
Con Migro back in the day at Claremont was THE BEST in Australia and he worked with Wade for years.

Toby Kruse - by FAR and AWAY the best announcer I have ever heard (no matter what the class of cars on the track is wheter it be Sprints, midgets, Late Models, Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, NASCAR, etc., etc..) - knowledgeable, articulate, and funny. Has announced races from coast to coast and is #1 a FAN.
