I'm just glad John brought the sprintcars to Watsonville. When Rick Farren ran the place, he would only bring the sprintcars over during the San Jose's fair season, or NARC Speedweek. We tried to pleed with Rick for years but he said no every time. When Farren closed San Jose, he still didn't want sprintcars at his stockcar track.

Thankyou John, Mr. North from DDNI, Kaeding Performance and Dennis from Taco Bravo for keeping sprintcar racing alive in our area.

with all due respect to everyone you mentioned involved in winged sprint car racing at ocean, you need to thank ricky wright jr.

if not for jr, wanting to run sprint cars and his dad wanting him to run close to home, who knows if or when anyone would have approached john about the prospect. Smile

to indy and beyond!!

I was going to think Rick Wright and Wright One Construction for getting John to take a chance on a 360 class, but didn't want to bring up the past series sponsers. You know, the "never mention again" sponser that took over after that for the next few seasons.

Hey Buzz what ever happened to your buddy in the 31 car? I haven't seen him the past few seasons.

Where is Ricky Wright Jr racing now?

no problem, i just needed to give my buddy rick some love. ricky is running ASCS Sooner region.

jason newton is still lurking around and is involved with his sons in roller hockey and other sports.

and we need to thank all the series sponsors, they know who they are.
