I LEARNED ESP FROM MY MOM

Oh wow...this is perfect timing...last night I was watching a show that featured hawaii born profession womens golfer Michelle Wie.. she mentioned that her favorite breakfast at McDonalds in Hawaii consisted of sausage, spam and RICE...I eat rice daily..I told my wife "Laid back people and rice at McDs...we gotta move to Hawaii...but they haven't had sprintcar racing over there since the mid 2000s.... looks like they got that fixed...all I gotta do now is sell my house and find us each a job over there and I am gone.
Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.

What was the carcount before they stopped running sprintcars? I heard from my neighbor, when he went to a sprintcar race in Hawaii, they only had 4 sprintcars. He said that was 10-12 years ago.

The track website has video on it. They run an economy nonwing Sprint class on a narrow right rear tire and winged 360s. There was actually a decent car count when you consider they haven't been racing sprints for some time. The track is too small though with virtually no banking. Practically a circle.
Cheers!

In 2003 USAC Southwest sent around ten drivers to Hawaii. You can see the videos on Youtube. During that deal they also brought some of the local Hawaii drivers to Arizona so they could race here.

It was at the Ewa Beach track on Oahu. Nice red corral surface and great fans. Shame they dont run there anymore.
I don't aim to please.
I aim to hit the target.

And I'll bet your favorite Kyle won.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

They only stopped running Sprint Cars after Ewa Beach closed. The new track is the first racing they've had on Oahu since then.

I went to Hawaii to do a story on Sprint Car Racing there for Open Wheel Magazine back in 2001, the week after 9/11. I was there for 2 race weekends, had a blast and was going to do my story on a racer there and Open Wheel folded, arghhhh. The guy that got me there used to be a regular in this forum, he was a helluva nice guy but his name escapes me at the moment. There was about 9 or 10 sprint cars there and two or three other classes, it was a great time on a thick, heavy track. I even got to sell a whole bunch of photos in the pits to sprint car fans, met a few of the drivers and got to play golf with one of them at the Air Force course there that week. Some of the nicest people on the planet, like Southeners and Canadians, lol....

Actually Dean is a good friend of the man that goes by 50th Stater on here. Dean is still in Hawaii and 50th Stater is living in CA but returning to Hawaii in the near future. Once again I am at a loss for his name (pretty sure it's John) even tho' we are Facebook friends, oops, kinda tells you how much I go there, lol....
PS When I was in Hawaii 50th Stater gave me a guided tour to the places that people don't go to on tours, best day I spent there out of the ten I was there, what a fun time...
