Good 5th place run by Shane last night. I think Shane's Dad John Golobic was racing the Chili Bowl tonight.

Damion isn't from SoCal. He started out racing winged sprints in nor cal, he's from Concord.
Cheers!

John did race last night, first time back in a car since 1997. When Shane was asked to drive the Wilke-Pak ride, Shane convinced his dad to jump in his normal Doug Bock #26 ride, and go have a good time. For never having driven a midget, thats exactly what he did, had a blast. His crew consisted of Tim Clauson turning wrenches, Shane, Ryan Bernal and Kyle Larson, all wearing vintage John Golobic t-shirts. All 3 of John's kids and his wife were there to see it and now have a memory that will last them a lifetime.

Henry is right! Damion started his career driving Dwarf cars at the bullrings around NorCal in the 90's before moving on to sprints. He also had a stint with the USAC Western States sprints when they were pavement only back in the early 2000's.

SUPPORT WILDLIFE, go to a sprint car race!

Great run tonight for Shane Golobic, bringing home a 7th place finish in the Wilke-Pak car. Was running in the top 5, until the track took rubber and the handling went away. Still, a very solid run from 16th, after running 2nd in the B main. Also, nice run for Brad Sweet bring it home in 3rd. Who knows what could of happened if the track didnt rubber down and make it 1 lane.
