Jonathan Allard and Kyle Larson won their first race of 2013 at Western Springs. That didn't take long.

I believe I saw on F/B that Peter Murphy ran second to Allard. Would loved to have seen that race!
Wonder when Kyle's folks will run out of money?

Murphy v Allard nearly ended in tears after Allard squeezed Murphy into the pit fence on the back straight on the final lap. Off the last corner coming up to the checkered Murphy went high and Allard went low with neither backing off, Allard got ahead but Murphy kept his foot in it and turned Allard into the wall just passed the start/finish line. Great way to bring in the New Year with some give no quarter racing from a couple of good mates.
Larson was untouchable with only Clauson having any chance of getting by him at around half race distance. Larson's post race celebration was hard case as he was cruising around the infield waving the steering wheel around in his hand. The World 50 lapper is schedule for Jan 3rd down here with Larson going for the clean sweep of the International Series to kick off his 2013.

If you go to the Western Springs Speedway website, they have updated videos posted, not long after the event. Larson and Allard are on it, down under!

I just don't see why any owner in his right mind would want this Kyle Larson kid with no talent to drive there race cars. He doesn't come off cocky rude or anything like most rich kids buying rides. I hope his parents get a clue and stop wasting all there money buying all these rides. He will never amount to anything.

What's more awesome about Peter and JA is that they can stuff each other in the wall like they both did. They can race each other hard as nails. But in the end they are two good guys, two good friends, and it never changes.
