I have so many good memories of Doug , from all his wins on mr dirt tour , Sdw 200 in 1996 , penn national wins , Grandview , diamond , rolling wheels,, and I saved the best I believe for last , were the flemington Nj on pavement because I did not go there till after 1991 , he won in dirt / asphalt modifieds , lste models , Whelen mod tour , 358 d/a mods , one year I think it was 91 or 92. Doug won everything but in street stocks including mod 200 , tour type mod , late model , 358 d/a mods . Then he promoted Mvs and did a great job and this year would have been year 2 at Bridgeport . RIP Doug and I hope his Famliy can get through this very hard time God Speed Doug

Thanks for posting. My first experience seeing Doug race was at Dorney Park in the early 80's. Then in weekly competition at Nazareth and Flemington for years. I'll never forget being right by victory lane for the scuffle with him and Tom Hager at Nazareth after a modified race. Such a tragic situation. RIP

Gena served him with divorce papers on Christmas. I don't think flowers would be appropriate

I always knew when Doug was at the track he would either be in the pits at the end with trouble, or be fighting for the top 5 positions. Will miss his smile.....

We all know our Heros will go sometime, but all I can say is, well, just Damn, Damn... I couldn't have imagined this....

Your Father loved you dearly too.

We never had the pleasure to meet you over the years. But for sure your Father talked highly of you.

We had the pleasure to know him through the race scene. Both him and Keith always gave pointers to make the racer run at its finest. Also our niece represented your Dad in the Little Miss Motorsports years ago and he couldn't have been a kinder man to her. We were always big race fans of your Dad. And got into many arguments in the stands. But it was all well worth it. Smile

You are in our thoughts and prayers. May he watch and guide you through your years ahead.

God bless you and the Hoffman family.
