I'm at a loss for words right now. But want to say I love you Stephen Allard and won't ever forget you. This has been such a horrible year for the sprint car community. RIP Stephen. You have been such a good friend to me over the last number of years. I always enjoyed joking around with you in the pit area.

Stephen was such an important part of my life when I was growing up & starting out in the PR business in racing. I was a young and very shy person, but Stephen always made me feel important when I was younger. The year he won the Silver Dollar Speedway title in 2007 will always stand out for me. I had so much fun that season.

I'll always love you Stephen. You were a huge part of my life when I was growing up. I have so many memories in the pit area at Silver Dollar Speedway.

My condolences to the Allard family. He was a great guy to be around at the track and a mentor to many up and coming racers. Godspeed SA, you will be missed.

Just at a loss of words. Can't believe this. Can't believe I'll go to Placerville and won't see him up on the cushion.

Stephen Allard was my first non-Petaluma victory lane interview and he had just won Civil War/Calistoga in the Smitty Boys 14s in somewhat controversial fashion from what I remember, and the details stop there in my memory. I went up to him and introduced myself, and ran through the interview which was caught by Steve LaMothe formerly of Steve's Racing Photos. Since then, everywhere I've been and everywhere SA was, I'd go by and say what's up and always....always....he'd take a few seconds, minutes, whatever he had and we'd chat awhile until I was out of subjects. Some racers you know they'd rather want to be doing something else besides talking to you, but SA wasn't one of them if he did. Always we'd chat and when it was over, there was a handshake and a good luck or see ya, and it'd start again at the next race. He knew me. I knew him. To lose another of the real approachable racers this year is heartbreaking, and makes you step back and take a deep breath and re-organize life in your mind once again. Nothing is guaranteed about seeing someone tomorrow, so appreciate what you have today. Next racing season, we'll be missing another racer who is gone way too soon. Godspeed SA. Thanks for your friendship.

Words cannot express the sadness at the loss of Stephen Allard. My prayers are with the Allard family and the racing community in the loss of a man who was respected by many as a great friend and awesome sprint car driver. Stephen we will miss you, and your memories on and off the track will live in our hearts and minds forever. "Life is like a vapor, it's here for a little while then it disappears" James 4:14 We need to cherish the times we have with our friends and loved ones, we truely don't know how short our time here on earth will be. In light of the tragic news, I wish all of you in the racing community "Merry Christmas" May God bless all of you this coming new Year. Richard Crumley Sr.
