I've shared plenty of races with you and I've never known you to sit down.
|
That made me think Randy; do you have top row seats for the Chili Bowl, or are you just going to be a pain in everyone's ass?

The message on the office phone said they won't be back from holiday break until Jan.7th. So one would assume it would be after that.

When you come on here bad mouthing drivers and race tracks and in general most everything, what the hell do you expect?... So fine, if you can't take it or back up the negative posts you make, don't post.
By the way, I saw the post where you answered my question about how long you've been going to sprint car races before you deleted it, and it's really sad that if you've been going to the track that long, that you still don't get get.... The guy's that struggle the hardest at what ever level to put a Sprint Car out on the track are the heart and soul of our sport, and for you to talk smack about "field fillers" and such really pisses me off and shows me that you haven't learned shit!
|
Amen! Well said.

bigfish is totally correct...and he does have a way with words!
There are PLENTY of guys who haul to the track every weekend and they know deep down they don't have a chance at winning the feature that night...yet they go...week after week....and they make up the majority of cars who hit the local track every week.
I LEARNED ESP FROM MY MOM

YOU'RE COLD?"

Unless you have raced a sprint car, you have no clue what a field fill is. As for KWS I recommend you appreciate them before your on here looking for a plane ticket so you can see a good 410 race. I heard BK say that Dan has done more for 410 racing in the last few years than the previous people have done in the last 20 years.

I am going back to sidelines just reading posts seems like the vets have a good grip on this website, its not very friendly out there a little contrversy never hurt anyone.
|
Where I come from, we don't call it "controversy," we call it "being an asshole." Things are perfectly friendly here (and just about everywhere in life) when you present ideas and thoughts in a rational manner rather than the ever too often seen "shit stirring," "boat rocking," and/or "cart tipping."

He did say that.. But he also said there is alot he disagrees with Dan on also, in his speach at the awards banquet. On what i have no idea.
Dan has done a good job, yes.. But i don't know if he did more for 410 racing than all those in the last 20 years. I don't think Allen and Narc have been gone for 20 years, but Allen wanted to get larger purses for Narc. Doing that was the demise of Narc.. If you remember a couple of the promoters owned GSC also which ran about 6 or so races in conjunction with Narc, it was then that the promoters, not all, decided they did not need Narc and could just have GSC take over all 410 racing in Nor Cal. When Narc was in existence they had a 30+ race schedule which included a speedweek of 6 or 7 races and also including the half dozen GSC races. Please correct if i'm wrong.

The only thing to correct here is that NARC died just as Jim Allen moved on but the two events have nothing to do with eachother. The promoters killed NARC for the reason stated and the ones responsible are the ones that have always resisted any kind of improvement to racing that benefited fan or racer. Not everything Dan has done or tried has been perfect but he has had the balls to try and has put his money where his mouth is. As far as making Brent happy ALL the time I'm sure just about everybody including Dan by now realizes that ain't ever going to happen so no need spend too many resources in that area :-).

I wish NARC would find a someone to build them a track in the San Jose area that only raced 10 to 15 410 shows per season, for $10,000 to win. It will never happen, but there's nothing wrong with wishful thinking.

Good Luck KWS, just wish you whiners had to push a trashed car into the shop at 3:30 am Sunday, go to bed beat up and by thur start thinking we might make it and Sat your on the road. Your friends sacrficed, your family sacrficed, but you are doing what you love knowing you will be lucky to qualify 15th in a 20 car field. I guess we should sell out and go watch 4-6 of the best 410's or 360's go at it. "Racin Ain't Fair" it's just what we do
