BUDWEISER OVAL NATIONALS BACK TO THREE NIGHTS IN 2013!

(Perris, CA, December 18, 2012) Perris Auto Speedway promoter Don Kazarian continues to play Santa Claus for racing fans with the announcement this morning that the Budweiser Ovals Nationals will
return to a three day format in 2013. Added to the schedule on Halloween night, October 31st, will the finale for "The USAC Grudge Series," for the USAC West Coast Sprint Car Series and the USAC Southwest Sprint Car Series.

"For years, the Budweiser Oval Nationals had been a three day show," Kazarian said. "It was a tradition and part of the charm of the event. When we were forced to cut it back to two days in 2012, a lot of fans were
disappointed. So was I. This year the USAC West Coast Sprint Cars
and the USAC Southwest Sprint Cars will open the Ovals on Halloween night. Fans who are local to The PAS and fans who travel from around the country will get to see a group of drivers and cars they normally do not see. On top of that, it should some extra cars to the regular portion of the Oval Nationals."

"The race will be the third and final event of the "USAC Grudge Series"
pitting the USAC Southwest Sprint Car Series against the USAC Western Sprint Car Series," Canyon Speedway Park promoter Kevin Montgomery said via phone on Tuesday morning. The "Grudge Series" will begin on March 7th in Las Vegas. It will come to Canyon (in Peoria, Arizona) on September 28th before wrapping up at The PAS at the Oval Nationals.
It is going to be a great race."

In addition to being the final event in "The USAC Grudge Series," the race will also be the finale for both the USAC Western Sprint Car Series and
the USAC Southwest Sprint Car Series. Three separate champions may be crowned that night and seven different champions may be crowned over the three days.

The two nights following the "Grudge Series," November 1st and 2nd, the
Amsoil USAC National and CRA Sprint Car Series' will take over for their portion of the Budweiser Oval Nationals. They will be joined each night by the California Lightning Sprint Cars and the PAS Senior Sprints.

"On paper, this is shaping up as the best Budweiser Oval Nationals in
history," Kazarian said. "We will have six different divisions and four different types of sprint cars competing. We should have well over 130
different cars on hand."

With the addition of the third day, the practice session, which will be free for fans in the grandstands, has been moved to Wednesday, October 30th.

Tickets for the 18th Annual Budweiser, as well as all other 2013 events at The PAS, will be on sale soon.

The entire 2013 PAS schedule is listed at the end of this release.

Good, it should have never been made a two night event.

The ovals are still two nights. Friday and sat 410s. Thursday is a grudge race between west coast 360s and south west 360s. But it will also bring more cars over from AZ.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

Gutsy move running on thursday , hope it draws a good crowd , I would give some thought to running fri. sat. sun. more peeps might be able to attend 2 or more days , since this should be after day light savings time , you could start racing on sat/sun around 5 or 6 pm that way you could end around 8-9 pm before it gets to cold ? & peeps won't leave early or not attend at all

Sunday, is bad for two reasons. One is most people who fly in have their return home flights scheduled for Sunday. Running Sunday would keep a lot of them home because they would have to take an extra day off work on Monday. The other is the NFL. It will take out a lot of fans.

Thursday not the greatest day in the world to run. Especially when it is Halloween.

Correction on my release. USAC Southwest Sprint Cars will have three races left after the Oval Natinals and final point race for the Western Sprint Car Series will be at Hanford on October 12. So, their championship will (probably) not be decided that night.

They tried running Sat.&Sun.back in '98 when Rodney won.Sat.night had a good crowd but not on Sun.It's too bad because it was a great race between Rod and Jeremy Sherman.

That race is known as the COTTON CLASSIC with the KWS 410 wings series and the USAC 360s are on the same card . This is a do not miss show as it is always awesome.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.
