Saw the heats, and the Bandelero feature. Late models and super late models put on a great show. Seen tin tops at Idale and they always bored me, but these guys were terrific. Pintos, Fidgets and runwatchabrung also very good. Those bandolero kids did some serious racing. Some of the hardcore sprint fans expressed doubt about running sprints there, but Jimmy's joint is a lot smaller, so I don't see a problem. O/S would be ideal for midgets, would be great for Turkey Nite. Seeing all these tin tops and asphalt racers finally get to race it occurs to me why switch to dirt. But probably the promoter thought if I'dale comes back on line he'd be left in the lurch. I was told Doug Bushey was in the booth, if so he did an outstanding job, one of the best race callers I have heard. Persons of note seen tonite, Rip Williams. As someone said the venue is nice with not a bad seat in the joint, and is located in a busy area with lots of restaurants and fast food within walking distance. I hope the promoter makes a suucces, as I will come back, especially for midget shows.

I thought the same thing why change it the racing was good. What a great place! But can't wait to see it with dirt on it!

Good crew from PAS parking lot showed up! Think the snow on in the mountains made it cold.

Speedway race 12/29 one more race then CHILI BOWL

All the good stadium seating. Great lights. Big parking lot. When this place puts up a new fence for the dirt this place is gonna look outstanding. Just like the new fence at tulare turned that track into a real nice and safe place to watch racing. I'm going to enjoy this place. I hope it all works out. P.S the price was right.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

we need a dirt track in the city to reignite the fire of excitement for those who have forgotten what it is all about . we need a chance to bring open wheel racing back to the glory it once had here in so-cal . we need people excited about dirt track racing like they were back in the ascot days . the pavement guys need to work out getting back irwindale . if you look at irwindale in regards to how many racers it created from our local talent pool ,and how many fans were extremely happy to go watch those drivers on a regular basis , its easy to see that orange show will breathe some much needed life back into dirt track racing . for the hardcore purists , its all about the non-wing sprint cars ! with racing back in the city it gives the teams the power to gain local sponsors , which for some makes the difference between racing or not racing . we need get back to basics , give the little guy a place to start racing , with classes that will eventually feed the slowly dying 410 non-wing sprint cars . for this next season we all need to do our part to bring local dirt track racing back to the glory it once had here in so-cal . so tell a friend , tell a stranger , tell everyone !!

As an Inland Empire based midget team I couldn't agree more! We are very hopeful to be able to race close to home. Hopefully for the betterment of the sport, even if it is not all sactioned the same, that dates will work out and we don't end up with races on the same day no matter where in the state. Good luck Scott, we will support you as much as possible.r

Thanks Kirk, I will obviously do what I believe is best for the racers and fans. Unfortunately with Sprint cars,360 cars, midgets, and focus midgets being seperated and scattered schedules it will be difficult to have our program ,with all four divisions unified ,miss the other schedules completely. Thanks Again and hope to see you out at Orange Show Stadium for a tour this week. Scotty

just the fact that you are trying to make a difference gives you awesome status ! i try not to expect anything , just hope people do what they say . its a very tough road for all of us involved in the racing game , it takes a lot of perseverance and will power not to fold up under the pressure of succeeding and those who diligently work against us . it takes so much away from our personal lives to be involved , and just that can make or break the deal .i think a lot of people look at what we do like it our full time job , never understanding that it is just something we somehow manage to squeeze in to the balance of our regular life . keep up the good work scotty , it will all pay off , i know it will ..
