Arizona Traditional Sprint Cars ?

If you noticed the ASCS was not mentioned, their out, and USAC is in. Were now the Arizona Traditional Sprint Cars with a new corporation, USAC.

I guess I can't brag that were the only non wing division in the ASCS anymore, but hey, we still don't have barn doors on our roofs.

OK Kevin, lets see you wave your magic wand and get the Midgets at the Copper

It's a better read here..http://www.canyonspeedwaypark.com/

A good thing here,(below) the Western will be a all non wing show; as it shoud be.

The USAC Southwest Sprint Cars will kick off 2013 as they take on the West Coast Sprint Cars at the 2013 Winter Challenge and will crown the first champion at the 46th Annual USAC Western World Championships in November.

You must now see that USAC/ Arizona should now be running at Canyon, Arizona Speedway, the newly reopened Casa Grande, probably Cocopah, and who knows, maybe a Cali trip or two.

I think USA has a Outlaw race scheduled, or did.

I like that USA Tucson track wish they still had some multi day shows there to make it worth the drive from Cali.

Looks like the Outlaw race is their only sprint show, for now. Hand down, it's the best facility in the state.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still not a big fan of USAC running the show over here on this side, the 410's with CRA for certain, but it doe's solidify our strong non wing tradition over here in AZ.

If I had it my way CRA would break away from USAC and run a true open comp division like in the good old day's, and save the 410's for when USAC came to visit..LOL

Think ill just wait for the rest of the schedules over here in Cali .KWS and west coast USAC 360s will have a lot of close shows. Between the 360s at oildale Bakersfield and tulare and Hanford , Santa Maria we will have lots of racing . Also Ventura still has to list the schedule .

Even before Kevin brought our non winged ASCS boy's over to Perris for a couple of show's, USAC decided it was time go on the offensive and stake out as much territory as possible to hold off any advances by the ASCS. As of now, USAC has not only put a stop to the ASCS advancement into S and central Cali, they pushed the non winged element of it right out of existence.

OK, how about that the ASCS fumbled the ball, and USAC was right there to pick it up and run with it?

I'm thinking we need to keep a little of our own identity here in AZ by putting in a few letters of the alphabet to signify who we are, just like Cali did... I know it might sounds a little silly, but I think you need to put the ASCA, at least the ASC part, as part of the name of the show (USAC/ASC, very much like USAC put in Cali's CRA.

I don't know, maybe even USAC/ATSC would be OK.

Kenny you get yours just like we do . You get the USAC south west series just like we get the USAC west coast series because they are both 360 series . When you AZ people get a real 410s series then you get something like USAC/CRA . An elite 410 sprint car series that resides in Southern California.

And you'll get yours the next time I see ya..LOL

Remember we were the ASCA before the ASCS showed up, very much like how the CRA was gone when the SCRA took over. That's the Sprint Car Racers Association in case you've forgotten.

Well the glass, or beer can; is usually half full for me. ASCS is a great organization with a great product, winged sprint car racing. USAC has the name with our cars, and despite all the belly aching we all do having USAC sanction the AZ cars is an important branding aspect of business that I feel is good for us on local and national levels. We don't want to be RC Cola, we want to be Coke or Pepsi so I got to say right on Kevin. Now all you have to do is make it work, and I believe you will.

Winning a USAC South West championship would mean more to me than an ASCS Canyon championship would. Yea, I'm not all there I know; but I hope we see more good cars drop the top to go after a USAC crown in AZ next year. We'll see.
