I remember attending this race. Before the start of the main event, and during the pace laps, another guy with whom I sat in Turn One and I went down to the fence with a large sign I'd prepared -- something to the effect of "Deano, thanks for the memories." Dean Thompson will always be one of my favorite drivers. Lots of great memories from watching him in the Little Red Sucker.

Tucson Osty

Was there too Tucson Osty. Sweet way to go out for Deano that night. 4th fastest qual, win the Dash, win the Heat and win the Main Event. I remember thinking that they must have had a brand new Ron Shaver bullet in that little red sucker because Deano owned that night.
