Wow! I didn't expect that at all. Any idea as to why? Maybe another track can step up for that date?

Makes you wonder just how much longer the track will survive. I know there are supposed to be 3 more Western All Stars dates at the track this year, at this point I'm not counting on them being there.

Robbie, kind of figured something was brewing. Have been hearing rumblings of guys not getting paid for events in May, I don't know how much truth is in there but I know there is some concern. Luckily the Gary Jacob Memorial purse was put up by FastUnderCar so there is no issue there.

Hopefully we don't lose Kings, but at this point I'm not very optimistic about the future.

If the date isn't filled, should be 35-45 cars for Civil War at Petaluma.

Gotta check the work schedule and see if I can make Elma. I think the SharkMobile can make it that far.

Petaluma Civil War or Elma Brownfield Memorial - tough choices for sure! I must say that Petaluma has put on a some great shows lately and I have been impressed with the place. Except for the food service I think the place has really stepped up and I would love to see 4 GSC shows there next year and even Antioch has been a little better this year. I would love to go to Gray's Harbor someday also, but they still get rain in the summer frown

What Golden State race at Petaluma did you think was GREAT? Dont kid yourself! Talk about the worst prepared [huh?] Race Facilty in northern California, bar-none!!!! Be it the racing surface, or the fact that they haven't had lids for soft drinks etc... I mean seriously, in years past the way the way the track used to provide so many wheelies that could last the length of the entire straight away, throughout the main event!!!!!!1 Not the bullshit we've had to put up with for the past couple of years.

Wow- did someone wake up on the wrong side of the bed? I enjoyed the 2 GSC races that were there in May and June this year and there was lots of great racing. I can tell you don't like the place too much...

I did not see a problem with the racing at the two GSC shows in Petaluma this year IMO. the track was plenty fast at there last race when even a new track record was set. It is a hell of a lot better than what we have seen at Watsonville most of the time before Prentice became the promoter and you can throw in Fernley also. I have not been to all the tracks this year but Chico, Petaluma, Watsonville and Quincy have all been good shows this year.

I saw a couple of 360 races there this year and they were great. Other than freezing to death, I thought it was all right and the food was pretty good in the pits.

It's an awful long tow from Watsonville(Friday night GSC) to Elma, and Elma is an ASCS only track.

The Brownfield Memorial is a two day race. You would have to be there both days to even have a chance at the $10,092.

Bummer! The new promoters got off to a good start mid-season last year, and looked to be starting out making some positive improvements to the place this year. Seems like things have taken a turn for the worse there lately though. Hopefully those guys can get it turned around before alienating sanctioning bodies and fans.

Hey havgmony - are you retarted? Petaluma has provided the best racing in the bay area this year. Both GSC races there were awesome! Ocean, Antioch and Stoga are great as well but the Petaluma races have stood out as my favorites so far this year.

I know it is not GSC sanctioned but i was wondering if anyone knows or heard anything about the status of the Cotton Classic?
