Just tell me the date so I can order my plane tickets. This is going to be awesome with all the dirt drivers in nascar racing in this event.

I would think the big mile dirt tracks would be ideal like Springfield, Ill. Heck, these teams have several trucks , so why not a dirt tuck for about 3 races a year???

I would be in favor of a double header with Knoxville and Iowa Speedway.

I'm not sure of the validity of this, but it would be pretty neat to see it actually happen.

Will be really cool to see how many ringers and hired guns they bring in to run like they do on the road courses. Scott Bloomquist? Billy Moyer? Any sprint car drivers? I would expect some drivers like Kyle Busch and Ken Schrader also. Will be very interesting to watch i would think. I really think this is setting the stage for a Nationwide and eventually a Spint Cup race to be run on dirt every year. I don't know how they could possibly go wrong. They need some serious ratings help and this is definitely a step in the right direction. Now if they could just make the racing not suck, they would have it made. Maybe Gordon and Bowyer can get into for the next 37 races?

Two Napcar truck races a year,Eldora and Springfield,Ill. 50 laps at Eldora and a 100 smiler at Springfield, now that would flat be a sell out, with those pit stops and stuff and maybe Hoosiers instead of Goodyears,Ill take Schatz at Eldora and Clauson at Springfield.....yahooooo!!!!!!!!and ppv to boost the program, both for 25.00 or twenty for each.Yeah,my neighbor says don't forget cousin Carl on the mile, shucks ,Newman could that with one hand tied behind him.

Pretty sure they will crash through the walls at a dirt track.is a small 1/2 big enough for that many trucks anyway?

Going to be some serious money to be made as dirt set-up consultants to the truck teams if it comes true.

What about a race at Belleville Kansas. This would be so awesome. If this ever came to be I could see a lot of nascar tracks building a dirt track at there facility. Mudflap

Why not they fit 43 on Bristol. They won't crash through the walls. There is no way!!!! it's not like they are going to be hitting the same speeds as they do on asphalt. My guess would be is that they would have to have a truck set up just for dirt.

They used to have a truck race mansfield every year and its about the same size as Eldora. And the trucks won't go near as fast as sprints do. They might be equal to a late model but thats it.

So each team is going to build a special truck for one or two races? I'd be shocked, but would love to see such a race at Eldora.
It's not like they will use a 3000+ pound tank either? Will they just slap a truck body on a super late chassis or......?

Yes and no. The length of the two tracks are similar, but the shape and banking are a lot different.
For example, Mansfield is only 16 degrees at the top of the turns while Eldora is supposed to be 24. Mansfield has much tighter turns as well.
That being said, they should be safe enough running there. It will be interesting to see how the track surface is prepared if they do.

I am afraid it's going to be a joke, and the face of dirt racing is going to somehow suffer.
