Thank You to Big Mike for putting together the All Coast Challenge...The format was great and we had a ton of fun.. Now onto another subject...What has happened to Ventura Raceway. I walked the track before the main and there were so many rocks that I was waiting for a paving company to lay asphalt. I know that the track was core drilled and that there is actual clay under this awful surface that we raced on. I was also told that equipment and labor was offered to improve the racing surface and restore it to a decent surface and it was denied by the Ventura Raceway management. What is the story? If it doesnt improve I dont think we will race at Ventura any longer. When do egos and pride step aside and common sense take over and someone realize this is a truly great facility and it needs some help. Sprint Cars are the draw for this place and if the surface was decent the car count would increase and the racing would be great. Maybe its time to go 410 racing.
