Spent a LOT of time there as a kid. My Grandpa use to race Horse & Buggy there many many moons ago.

I saw 305s there in 2008 or 09? I think it was a 7 car field.

I had forgotten about harness racing.

Are you old enough to remember when the "opening act" for the big cars at the Iowa State Fairgrounds was the Joey Chitwood Thrill Show?! Maybe that's what we need to go back to during intermission now a days. LOL!

Grandpa raced (horses) there in the late 60s & early 70s. I was about 5 yrs old when I first started going and that was 1968. Don't know if I ever saw a car race there.
