17th ANNUAL BUDWEISER OVAL NATIONALS THIS WEEK!

(Perris, CA, October 30, 2012) Facts and figures on the this week's 17th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals.

· WHERE: "Southern California's Home to Major League Sprint Car Racing,"Perris Auto Speedway on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds (18700 Lake Perris Drive, Perris, CA 92571)

· TRACK: 1/2 mile clay oval.

· WHO: The Amsoil USAC National & CRA Sprint Cars, California Lightning Sprint Cars and PAS Senior Sprints.

· WHEN: Friday, November 2nd and Saturday, November 3rd.

· TIMES: Spectator gates will open at 4:00 PM on Friday and 3:00 PM Saturday.

· PRACTICE: Free for fans in the grandstands at 6:00 PM Thursday

· PROGRAM: Qualifying, heats, preliminary and A Mains each night.

· TICKETS: Available at the track each night, by phone at 1-800-595-4849 or online at: http://pas.tix.com/Schedule.asp?OrganizationNumber=7

· ENTRIES: As this piece went to press 50 cars had been entered (complete list at the end of this release). More expected at race time.

· PAST CHAMPIONS ENTERED: Bud Kaeding (2001, 2002, 2007), Cory Kruseman (2003 & 2004), Dave Darland (2005 & 2006), Rip Williams (1997), Rickie Gaunt (1999), Damion Gardner (2009 & 2011) and Chris Windom (2010). Complete list of past winners below.

I am pretty certain you can add Avon, Indiana's Jon Stanbrough in the #21x Leer Racing DRC and Sikeston, Missouri native Hunter Schuerenberg in the #35 HMS/Byrum Mach 1 Chassis to the list above.

Wonder if the wheelie king the number 74 josh hodges is gonna show . He had that car looking at the stars at canyon.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

Trust me, he's going to be a another good one out of NM, and he'll be at the Western. He's not sure if he'll run with or without, but only because the wings payout is better.
