Celebrate America’s 231st birthday with double features! At 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, July 4, Kopellah Speedway presents the Star-Spangled Spectacular. In addition to a complete regular racing program, the night will also include make-up features in all four of the track’s WISSOTA divisions from the rained-out June 15 races. Scheduled to appear and run both the make-up features and the regular features are WISSOTA National Street Stock points leader Cory Crapser, WISSOTA National Super Stock points leader Ryan Aho, and WISSOTA National Modified and National Modified Rookie points leader Andy Miskowic.
Other top area contenders and track regulars expected to compete in the WISSOTA Modified division are Kevin “Buzzy” Adams, Jason Schill, Scott Splittstoesser, Jason Miller, Shawn Kelley and Justin Jones. In the WISSOTA Super Stock ranks, pre-qualified racers include former Street Stock National Champions Dan Gullikson and Curt Myers, along with Jason Gabrielson, John Remington and Tony Gates as well as track regulars and top 20 National points contenders Luke Strandlund and Cory Davis. The WISSOTA Street Stocks will be just as loaded with talent. Slated to do battle with Cory Crapser will be top 20 contender and current track points leader - the fastest woman in Wisconsin - Chanda Fjorden Nord, along with regional hot shoes Jimmy Randall, Jeff Heintz and the red-hot Jason Vande Kamp.
A full field of 20 WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds is already qualified to compete in the evening’s make-up feature event, with more likely on hand for the regularly scheduled show. Plus a complete show of Kopellah’s own Pure Stocks and Hornets are set to take to the track in what promises to be a fun-filled and action-packed evening of races at St. Croix’s Secret, Kopellah Speedway.
All for REGULAR ADMISSION PRICES! Adult tickets are $10, for fans ages 13 to 17, the price is just $5, and as always, kids 12 and under are FREE! The Star-Spangled Spectacular is set to be your family’s most exciting and most economical way to wish America a Happy Birthday!
Please note the early start time – due to the extra features, the first green flag will fly one hour earlier than previously advertised, at 6:30 p.m. For directions to the speedway, race-day weather updates, current point standing and track information, please visit the track’s website at www.KopellahSpeedway.NET
