Goodyear Tire & Rubber posts disappointing third-quarter earnings and said it expects tire volumes to be down next quarter as well.

Well, I'm quite sure this is due to the WoO dumping them from their series!

Goodyear - a stretch of 3 years

So why is Goodyear leaving the sprint car business, was it that unprofitable?

Are they leaving the sport entirely, or just not sponsoring or working with any sanctioning bodies or tracks?

They obviously invested a significant sum, to get back in the business, only to leave 3 years later, who's the brain child behind that decision making?

Leaving AM Racer and Hoosier daddies, lets hope they leave an open tire rule!
