Trying to decide on whether to make the journey to the "Kings Royal".
A bud that went to the "Dream" told me he thought the track was still not
the same since they re-did it. I guess I just want to be reassured that making
the long haul out there will be worth it since I'll be roughin it in a tent. A two
hour drive to Knoxville is my other option and back in bed the same night but it's
just a weekly points race at knoxy.Any input on how the track has came around
since they reworked it?????? From another post earlier in the year the statement
"Now it's just like any other 3/8 mile track" keeps sticking in my mind. This
would be my 4th or 5th time out there (1 being the Million) and still have not
them running clear up next to the wall. (might have been the crown Royal tho)
Input??? Thanks in advance.

Barring some sort of miracles, you would almost certainly see them "up on the wall" saturday night. With two nights of 360's and 410's running, it usually gets pretty wide come saturday night. And if that does happen, seeing Saldana and Haud bouncing off the cushion inches from the wall is worth every penny.

A quote from "supaschatz" describing Shane Stewart's run from 21st starting spot to finish 3rd at Eldora on Saturday night. Sounds like the place is fine to me.
"Shane Stewart was an absolute rocket tonight! He ran about 2 inches from the wall on almost every lap. Definitely one of the classic Eldora runs from the back. He needed 2 more laps and he would have won."

Saturday night Knoxville is scheduled to have their Twin Features Night.
This can be pretty interesting since they invert the finish of the first feature for the second.
