Are tickets available at the gate? Or is this reserved tickets only?

Definitely sounds like it was some awesome racing. Haven't heard any complaints about anything. I think I'll have to make the trip down there next year. Sure looks a little rough on the wallet though... wink http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=NPE1SVxmigQ&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DNPE1SVxmigQ%26feature%3Dyoutu.be

This years TROPHY CUP was the best race I've seen this year, that said it also had more red flags than any TROPHY CUP race that I can think of and I've been to every one.

There were a TON of red flags. That said the racing when it was green was as good as anything you will see anywhere. I met a few fans from Pennsylvania and these PA guys were beside themselves at the level of talent and the racing quality that the Thunderbowl provides. In their words "nothing in Pennsylvania comes close to this!", I thought that was pretty cool to hear. They are making plans to be back next year.

I'm being 100% honest about what they said. One guy said he has been to somewhere around 350 tracks and would rank Thunderbowl in the top 5. The other guy said he attends the Grove and Lincoln regularly and goes to all the major races throughout the country but this was his first Trophy Cup and he in particular said it was now one of his favorite tracks and events. I told them I want to go back to PA to watch some races and if it all works out I will in the next couple years. I guess I found their opinion of the California style racing and my favorite track cool to hear and worth mentioning.

I agree the trophy cup is the best race of the year . And tulare is my favorite track . Also I'm spoiled because the PAS is my home track . They say the Trophy Cup is gonna be a four day show next year. And I will be there.

PA has some great travellers who are great fans of the sport, some of the best in all racing. Did you catch any names mmd? They have the best and the worst of both worlds, fan wise, lol.....

Not sure how to spell their names but one was Wendell and the other name I remember was Rouser. Great guys to hang out with.

That's them, I would come across those characters ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, Rouser (SP) and Wendell travel like Eckert does and they're often together. They might be sprint car's biggest and most knowledgable fans and they are from Posse country, just don't call 'em that, lol. Man I miss those guys and a whole bunch more at times like this, ahhhhh the good ol' days.......

It's funny you mention Eckert, that's who we were with when I met the PA guys. Fun time.

I meant Wendell and Eckert but it's no surprise that Kevin was somewhere in the equation, another ex-Posse traveller himself. I can imagine the good times and storytelling with that crew, some nights it's better than the racing, lol.......

PS I spent two winters chasing sprints in Australia back in the mid 90's and that's the only place I never ran into those guys, they amazed me at some of the places they showed up at.....
