Mark your calendar to join us for a day of fun and reminiscing, memorabilia, slide shows and visits from some of the drivers from the old Springfield Speedway in Springfield, Illinois which closed in 1987. This year marks 25 years since the track closed. There will also be some vintage race cars on display.
The reunion will be held on October 27, 2012 in Springfield, Illinois at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in the Illinois Building. The reunion event will take place form Noon until 6:00 P.M. and then at 8:00 P.M. former Confederate Railroad member Cody McCarver will perform a concert on his "Let's Get Dirty Tour".

Shaheen's Springfield Spedway was billed as the "Fastest 1/3 Mile Track in the United States" and visitors to the track witnessed most of the biggest names in racing compete there over the years including names like Foyt, Andretti, Kenyon and Bettenhausen as well as local favoites such as Dean Shirley, Ron Milton, Phil Howe, Jim Moughan and Herschel O'dell among many others.
