Hey Gang,
On Winged Nation we dug into the tire situation. We chatted with Steve Kinser, Danny Dietrich and John McCoy from Knoxville. We had some quotes from Tom Deery with WRG as well as thoughts of Paul McMahan, Lance Dewease and Wayne Johnson....give it a listen here:

And, once you've listened we'd love to hear your thoughts.....as we stressed on the show; very little is "official" at this point on the topic.

After listening, I think The WRG will have to swich to Hoosiers if they cair anything about the drivers.
All the tracks in California already used Hoosier with the exception of the touring 410 KWS Series, who were on Goodyear the past few seasons. It was a no brainer for them to go with the masses and go with "Hoosier West".
I'm glad all the tracks/series went with what's best for the driver and didn't wait around for the all mighty wrg to choose after the season is over.
Hoosiers are not lockdown follow the leader at any tracks in California, so you can throw that theory away.

Yes, after talking to Danny Dietrich and John McCoy yesterday, I don't believe we'll have to worry about the Hoosier tire being "too good" as many have been concerned about.

No, you'll just have to listen to everyone bitching about Hoosiers and how much better the Goodyears were, or how they should have gone with American Racer.
It doesn't matter who's doing the tires, the complaining won't stop no matter what/who.

Doesnt sound like Steve is retiring it sounds more like he is preparing for next year, with maybe a new motor program and chassis setups, but i dont know for sure who he'll be driving for.
