Good point Dave 21X. I have been reading the other thread on here about Steve and there are an awful lot of people that are trying to write Steve off. Frankly it does not matter if he fails to win another race. Firstly, Steve Kinser has done more for the sport of Sprint Car racing than any other driver who has strapped behind the wheel of a car. We should all be thanking him for that and taking a great deal of pleasure in watching him drive. Secondly, he has no one to satisfy but himself. When he is done, he is done. I find it almost shameful for some folks to want to be pushing him out of the door. I find it amazing the comments that say he is old and out of touch. The "younger" generation has arrived and he is losing ground. He still wins races, just not in the last 3 months. REALLY, that is your idea of failing? How many WOO races have you won? Thirdly, the World of Outlaws have hung their hats on guys like Steve Kinser. Many have come and gone, many that were supposed to be "The S^%T", and where are they now? People need to relax about Steve Kinser. He is an icon in the sport and as long as he can drive I will be paying to see him run. For a man in his late 50's he wheels that car pretty well. He is also a great guy in the pits. Most of us on these threads could not have won one race in our 20's, let alone bested the group with WOO in their late 50's. Relax people!

Just last year he was running with a shattered arm, talk about a tough SOB. Bet he can still kick some ass outside the car as well. Chuck Norris doesn't mess with the King.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!

Well i was the one that started the other thread about Steve maybe should retire. Maybe I should write that every week if it is going to lead to him winning. I never once said that Steve wasnt the best thing that has ever happened to sprint cars. He is the King and always will be. He is the reason I have went to the WoO races for decades. I just dont want him to be one of those guys that hangs on to long. And by the results from Rolling Wheels, I was wrong. I know this may be a hoseheads first that someone admitted they were wrong, but I was. And I hope Steve proves me wrong for years to come. Long live the King!

i am sure he was glad to see the winners circle after 40 attempts. up to #9 in the weld power rankings this week.

Surely there is no apology needed there Oppermanfan. I am just stunned at some of the comments that your thread has gotten. ........Steve is THE MAN!
