Thinking back...Did Schatz even pass a car all night?
Drawing the front row of the dash was his BEST MOVE OF THE NIGHT!
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

This is actually quite true. Schatz didn't pass anyone in his heat or the A-main(other than lapped traffic). Dollansky wrecked and Darrah penalized on a restart. And the only driver to pass him was the man pleaser Craig Dollansky in the A main.
|
And if I am correct, Dollanky passed no one either. He was scheduled to start 5th, but Dale Blaney blew up on one of the original starts and then Darah got penalized for going early putting Dollansky on the pole. So tell me again how many cars he passed? As for drawing the front row, Donny had nothing to do with it. Actually a young local boy from PA did the honors. But if a PA guy would have won it from the front row we wouldnt even be having this conversation, because there are no posse front-row ho's, just WoO ones.

Not the biggest 15 fan but I got to give it up to Schatz. He is the only woo driver to win in California two weeks ago, won Knoxville and the National Open at Williams Grove. He deserves the Championship this year.

Schatz seems to get lucky a lot when big money is on the line. What's that, 5 times now? How many Knoxville wins does he have in a row? Australian big show wins? Yep, he's the luckiest dude to ever drive a sprint car!
Kind of like Steve used to be!

Nothing "given" to him at Knoxville, he along with everyone else earns his starting spot. The guy paid his dues for years and has now become the man to beat.
