There has been a rumor floating around since the announcement that
Fred Rahmer will not be driving the CJB Motorsports #51 that Rahmer will
be driving the Sell Motorsports #20 machine next season in
Pennsylvania. Today, Brad Vores is reporting in his column at
IJustWannaRace.com that Fred will in fact be driving the #20 next
season. He states that the team will be making a big announcement soon
and the team will have some of Rahmer's past sponsors on board. Derek has been driving the car but has decided to focus on his education at Penn State University for the next few

Ok, so weeks (months?) after Lawdog586 wrote that Fred would be in the 20s next year, and everyone called it bullshit, it's true. Interesting all the people that bad mouthed the guy, even the owner of the car said it was a ridiculous rumor. No clue who you are Lawdog586 is, but I hope your Zemco rumor for 2013 is just as true!

Hate to say it but Rahmer needs to hang the helmet up and focus on his sons. He hasnt done jack shit this year and continues to do nothing. Just wasting fuel, tires, and a car.

I didn't word that very well...this is not FACT like is misstated in the original post...the following is what is should read...sorry for the misunderstanding....but it does seem like it will be announced very soon.
UPDATE #2 - STRONG RUMOR - (9-26-12 @ 2:20 pm) - There has been a rumor floating around since the announcement that Fred Rahmer will not be driving the CJB Motorsports #51 that Rahmer will be driving the Sell Motorsports #20 machine next season in Pennsylvania. Today, Brad Vores is reporting in his column at IJustWannaRace.com that Fred will likely be driving the #20 next season. He states that the Sell Motorsports team will be making a big announcement soon regarding its 2013 plans. Vores is reporting that the team will be joined by some of Rahmer's past sponsors that have supported him in the past.

I don't know what's wrong, but I refuse to believe you lose all your ability in 4 months and I did watch him drive around Sides, Pittman, and Hodnett to win a WoO race in May.

Agree 100 %, Let's see what 2013 brings before he hangs up the helmet. If he is driving like he has a boat anchor tied to him, then so be it. I still think "The Fossil" has some fight left in him. I do question the type of funding the Sell operation will have compared to what Fred is used to operating with. I know some of Fred's long time sponsors are coming on board, but basically the 20S is a part time, family funded operation. If the rumor is true, I wish the team and Fast Freddie much success.

You have to think it's a good move for the Sell's to have Fred in the car because it seems they need to learn a bit (not being disrespectful to their effort) and what better way than to have a guy in the car who can get it done. That being said it seems that Derek will be going to college and when he completes school he will be able to race with his team having quite a bit of experience. If you're going to race and spend what it takes to run a 410, this opportunity could be good for all involved.
Not a Fred fan but I have to say he will race with whatever he has so they won't have to worry about him leaving anything on the table.
