Anyone know what's going on with Joey Saldana next year? Saw he posted on twitter something about one door closing and another one opening. Plus ibracn.com made some kind of hint about Joey the other day.

At one time in his career I think he teamed up with Buckeye owner Art Wendt, they seemed to win everything in sight when they were teamed, that car with Joeys driving was a rocketship, like to see that again, would you?

Looks like it was confirmed yesterday that he is out of the KKR car next year according to him and Brad Doty. Looks like it will happen at the end of the year though. Where he ends up next year still remains up in the air in this point. All the rumors are circulating about him either retiring which hopefully does not happen, to him starting his own team. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.

Joey won a whole bunch in Art's car with the All-Stars one year, almost 20 I think. I think that Art had Mrs. Art walk and that ended the sprint car business. Ahhh, the good ol' days......

Joey will have a job before Obama does guaranteed. Go Joey! you are the man. Obama, you are the loser you've always been ,good riddance. This political statement was not paid for by Mitt Romney but by every hard working American, Obama has put the screws too in the last four years.

Ahhh, the Mox Trucking sprinter. Steve Mox was one of my favorite guys to spend time with in the sprint business, often stopped at his office 20 minutes north of Eldora, great man!

I think Joey had the big year in 1995 with Wendt, even knocked off the outlaws up in MI. They had a 2 car team for awhile when Art still drove.
Joey was so fun to watch in the Mox 17. At Eldora he would cruise around the top of the track during the heat race pace laps, just picking his spots to run above the cushion. Well, he still does that...lol

Go back and add up the wins its pretty obvious he held up his end of the deal. Would you agree?

Maybe it's more of "What have you done for me lately!"
Last year 13 wins...this year five and fourth in points and no rosy outlook for a championship.
If the "rumor mill" about the mechanic is true it could possibly make no difference who is put behind the wheel. But...remember...we are dealing with an abundance of "rumors" on this subject!

I'd say he's done pretty good considering the lack of knowledge behind the wrenches.

13 last year while missing two months and 20 the year before should buy him an "off year" with "only" 5 wins. Don't make a change unless you're replacing what you have with something better and unless they get Schatz or an un-retired Meyers, they aren't upgrading.

If you guys think Rick Warner is the reason Schatz has been so good for so long you dont remember the year he had when he wasnt there.... UNBEATABLE!
Losing is natures way of saying you suck.
