Well, he got his second win of the day at Eldora this evening...won the midget race.
In the Silver Crown, there was a wreck on second lap he was caught in. USAC feed said he "walked" to the ambulance.

I'm pretty sure that he was in the XXX, which if that is indeed the case all the people that bitch about the quality of those cars and inferior tubing must be wrong,as it obviously stood up well enough with that impact that he was able to walk away. You can bash me all you want, but I know this from seeing it before he was very lucky that he wasn't in a Maxim as the outcome might not been as good,I've had two of them fold up and come apart like beer cans in wrecks that were nowhere near that violent.

Thanks for clarifying that,I knew they had been running a XXX and didn't know that they also had a Chalk. But I still stand behind my comment about Maxim's.

I saw it happen right in front of me and he just caught the cushion wrong, jumped it and flipped. The contact when the other car hit him while he was flipping looked alot worst there in person than the video showed. I'll up load some pics from the aftermath but he did get out of the car and to the medic under his own power which was good.

Here is a better video of the wreck, and then of the car back in the pits.

I would definately say that Larson cheated an appt. with the REAPER in that one.
The other guy, thanx for the downtubes.

The car that hit Larson was driven Mitch Wissmiller. I caught a non-detailed look at Mitch's car in the pits after the Silver Crown race and the entire front of the car was used up. Both downtubes bent, the front clip was all messed up, and the upright in front of the motor on the right side had broken away from the downtube.
Mike Brecht was also involved in the wreck, I think in the aftermath, but I haven't heard anything about him. Not sure if he flipped or just hit something. I don't think they even mentioned him on the PA.

Glad to hear you are okay!
I have not been able to find out anything about Larson. All I know is he "scratched" from the Silver Crown race after the accident. Hope he is also doing well.
Thanks for being one who will go out and enterain all of us. It is greatly appreciated!

I'm glad you're ok,see my post on Iow,where I said not all of Maxims cars have problems. I had one that the left rear shock mount tube broke completely out of the car right at the welds just from normal racing conditions,we welded the piece right back into the car, didn't bend the tubing at all, the welds just failed. That's what concerns me.The other one had numerous weld's break and tubing that ripped apart during a flip that wasn't that hard. This is just my opinion and if you feel good about those cars then more power to ya,I feel that we have found a chassis that works just as good and has a lot better workmanship,at least they remember to weld the master cylinder mounts in it,unlike the last Maxim we got. Blast away!
