HDsmoke20....and just as predictable, next time Larson wins, there will be 10 posts on here to tell everyone about. We get it, the kid is good...it's not Laron that folks don't like, but rather the 'man (boy) crush' mentality of his obsessive fans that most folks can't stand. Cubic was right though...didn't make it out of the 'c' either night...not haten, just facts as MSPN would say.

Wait, so Larson didn't get out of the C-main either night at the National Open and anyone who would dare comment on such a thing is an "idiot" or a "hater" or "jealous?" Kyle Larson results are only allowed to be discussed when he wins or in epic threads saying he should be in Formula One?
Thread seems pretty reminiscent of the Pennsylvania Speedweek thread in which Larson had minimal success and anyone who mentioned his performance during the week was labeled as some kind of moron or idiot.

I don't have a dog in the fight either way and usually don't get into these pissing matches but I do feel really strongly about people that rape someone's success out of jealousy, or envy, or what the hell ever reason no matter who it is. That's a hater. Don't be a hater.

I've been going to races for over 45 years. Larson is easily in the top 10 of the best I've ever seen, I can't think of too many drivers who have burst upon the scene and won so many big races in so many different cars in such a short amount of time.....All at the ripe old age of 20.... Those who dog him are really showing their ignorance of the sport.

larson's performance at the natty is not altogether indicative of his talent. and to lay total blame on him is not really just.
he arrived at the track friday just shortly before he his heat race from what i understand. he had never had a chance to turn a lap in the car yet that night. now if he clipped the fence or something and tore the front end out of the car, that is his bad. if something caused him to clip the fence then that is different. so if kyle screwed himself on that deal, then that is on him.
still he came from the back and missed the transfer by a couple of cars, driving what i have heard even some posse fans say is not much better than a C main car. i don't know how good the car is, so i am going off of what i have heard. and i am not trying to disrespect the car owners.
on sat it seems from what i have heard, that there were motor problems that side lined the car. i can't see holding that against larson.
so those who want to use this past weekend as an indicative assessment of larson's abilities are just looking for a reason to bash him and to pile on to demean him in some way. they are not just merely relating what happened, and to try to claim that is a bunch of BS.

Remind me again what car was it that he was in and If his fan base is going to claim his greatness and greatness alone for all his wins then he can shoulder all the failures himself as well.

So Larson didn't make it out of the C last night - neither did the King or Rahmer. It's obvious that Larson's parents should have bought him the ride in the #51 that Leppo got instead of Buch's #13. If they had, his results would have been better.By the way, how many wins do you have this season Willie? Larson has 23, which I'd guess are 23 more then you.

if you have a car that won't run, it doesn't matter how good you are, you won't go anywhere.
when you crash a car into the wall, it doesn't matter how good the car was, you still won't usually end up doing well.
kyle is not a crasher, so for him to run the car into the fence on his own lineing up for the heat is rather unusual. but if that is what happened, then i already said he screwed himself on that deal.
are you going to blame him for the motor problems on the next night?
i already said the past weekend was not indicative to larsons abilities.
still it seems he took a car that some on here were saying isn't much better than a C main car, and did about as good as could be expected under the circumstances.
now if he would have had a chance to hot lap and qualify on friday, he may have had better results. we wont know. so realistically, he never had a real chance to do anything. and i already said if he crashed the thing himself lining up for the heat, then he screwed himself.
that is about more of a response than you deserve, or are worth, but it just wouldn't be nice to tell you to go f*ck off.

buzz, you and the rest of the California people should get a clue before you rip the 13 car as it is one of the best available. Really amazing how clueless so many on here are.
Rolling Wheels Raceway Park; Elbridge, N.Y.; May 16, 2012
A-Main - (25 Laps) - 1. 13-Paul McMahan [1] [$6,000]

Lucky for him, he got a new ride because that 45 car he ran with the all-stars wouldn't have made it out of the C-main either night. The 13 is only slightly better. It will be interesting to see what Paul can do in a topnotch ride. He's looked good so far.
Pretty sure Buzz got him comments from Holden Caulfield in another thread:
Before make any statements towards California people, maybe you should chastise Holden for his clueless comments instead.

i thought i made it clear it was not my opinion of the car. i said i didn't know how good the car was and i wasn't trying to disrespect the owners. read my response above to singlefile that notes that in this thread.
it was holden caulfield that said the 45 that paulie mac drove was a c main car and the 13 wasn't much better. in speaking about pauls fri win holden said this:
"Lucky for him, he got a new ride because that 45 car he ran with the all-stars wouldn't have made it out of the C-main either night. The 13 is only slightly better."
since i am under the impression holden is familiar with the racing in the area, i had no reason to think he didn't know what he was talking about. so maybe you should take up your beef about the 13 car with him.
ps: i didn't see the post from DHowe above. thanks DHowe.

The #13 car owner, Tom Buch is the same owner who backed Jesse Hockett a few years ago. As I recall they were pretty successful the season they ran together.

I like how there is so much on Larson on this board, but nothing about the multiple time Grove champion and 500+ win Fred Rahmer and his performance or lack thereof.

No matter how informed someone tries to seem on here, odds are they aren't, and those odds are amplified when from Pennsylvania given a prevalent false sense of awareness. Unfortunately the PA fans on here seem to regularly have the least clue. Anyway, the 13 is definitely a good car. Pittman, McMahan and others have run it in the past.

You can't win 'em all, I don't care who you are, Schatz, Kinser, Swindell...... Why such a big deal?

No one is a bigger Fast Freddie Rahmer fan than me. But with the way both McMahan and Leppo wheeled the Clemen's #51 cars this weekend and the way Fred has struggled not only this past weekend, but for the last several months, it does make you wonder? Hopefully a change in teams for next year will revitalize him, although I am not sure the Sell 20S will be the right outfit for him. I hope I am wrong and time will tell.
