Great job on getting that many races in so fast. Thanks for FINALLY having sprint cars. Your crowd size should definitely tell you what people want to see--- Sprints and more Sprints----. Your food and alcohol are way over priced. Very slick track for the sprints but what a race. Congrats to Jason Johnson and no congrats to Wayne Johnson for taking out Kolt Walker with a botched slide job if you can call it that. Wayne was out driven from mid race on. Good job and hope to see more of those winged sprint cars in the spring

Hopefully next time, Mother Nature won't rush the program along so much and the previously scheduled track maintenance could have been done. Nonetheless, I'm not aware of any sprint car in the feature that blew a tire from wear; so although it was slick, it wasn't too abrasive...and there was a lot of passing.

For a while there, the radar was showing the precip was moving pretty fast towards the speedway, then after the sun went down, it slowed its arrival just long enough to get the races in. The complete program for the 275 cars on hand was completed at 11:45pm. I believe the sprint feature was over at around 11:15pm. Stay tuned for news on 2012 TMS Dirt Track events.

The Texas World Dirt Track Championship is already slated for March 1-2, 2013. Details of that event will be posted sometime in December. Thanks again to all that were on hand to be a part of the event.

Just a suggestion, hire Promoter, Shane Carson to manage the dirt track and include numerous sprint car specials, especially scheduled around the NASCAR and INDY CAR events.

They used to do that...what a pain in the ass to get to the Dirt track if you did not want to see the NASCAR/Indy event. I remember outlaw teams stuck in traffic and missing hot laps.

Trust me...those moron NASCAR fans that need to stand on every restart are not worth the hassle.

Keep the dirt track events away from the big track events...

It was the smoothest ran program I've seen. 21 races and out around 11:30pm. The sprints ran 40 laps with no fuel stops and passing everywhere. Kudos!

Last night was my first trip to the TMS dirt track. I was impressed with the facility and was amazed the track held up as well as it did. Personally, I'm not a mod or limited mod fan at all. I agree that the program was very well run, but for me sitting through nine 20-lap mod/limited qualifiers was a little much.

I would love to see an ASCS national show out there with 305 sprints. One other support class, like the mods or limiteds, would be fine as long as there wasn't a zillion of them.

I also agree with whoever said the concessions are ridiculously overpriced. $4 for a 20 ounce coke is pretty ridiculous when you can get one for $1.50 at the convenience store on the other side of the highway. At Devil's Bowl you get their large drink in a cup with ice for $2.75. Guess I'll have to figure out a way to sneak my drinks in!

Jason is flat out fast at TMS!!! I remember when he made the woo look like kids starting 12th or 14th and won going away. It wasn't no ford that night. Our engine builder does say there is a advantage with the fords(his words were wait tilll they gettm running and something will be done about it) but im sure it would've been a ass whoopn with a roush chevy too!! Sure looks like they got them running i dont follow ascs real close but isnt JJR bout winning everything lately?

Wayne taking another guy out? Seems to drive pretty dirty lately.

I enjoy every sprint race I attend, but I wasn't quite as thrilled with as some others were. The only passes in 3&4 I saw were JJ on the start. He was the fastest for sure, and drove a good race. Did anyone notice only 11 cars finished the race (ASCS results)? I didn't think the track was prepped worth a hoot for the sprints, but it did make the mods & LTD interesting. Very nice facility, hopefully next time a little scratching can be done on the clay.

There was a fast moving storm system headed right to DFW that developed right as the races started.

So the decision was made to skip the two previously scheduled track prep sessions and get the races in instead.

The first, of which, was supposed to be during opening ceremonies - which were essentially skipped too. Driver intros were skipped; etc.

But that decision ensured the races would get completed, and the races for all 275 cars were completed by 11:45pm. And even with having to skip the track rework, there were passes for the lead in all 3 division feature races.

It rained for about 8 solid hours after the races ended Saturday night.

Hopefully next year Mother Nature won't 'enter' the event.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the show. It was definitely ran well, and it was non-stop. I had missed calls and messages I didn't even bother trying to answer until the show was over. I will be in the stands at the next one for sure! I just wish the rain had followed us home...

Desflur, I have to call BS on your statement on Wayne Johnson taking out Kolt Walker. Watch the videos. Kolt Walker was all over the track, hitting the outside of turn 4 and turn 2 and driving down on Seth Bergman. He clearly did not have a handle on his car. Kolt was a lapped car and could clearly see Wayne about to lap him. He chose to race the leaders (As he seems to do a lot) and took himself out. Bad move by Kolt Walker.

Desflur- I agree with you on your statement about WJ, I have seen him on more than one occasion wreck someone...everyone is out there for the same reason, and it WAS way obvious that Wayne slammed the door on Kolt on purpose. Wayne was over a full straightaway behind JJ, did he really think he would catch him with one lap to go?! Oil Medics on the side of Wayne's car explains the previous persons post.

bigjohnson, take a look at the video, yeah wayne slid up, walker slid down and they made contact. racing incident, nothing more. walker had plenty of time to avoid the contact, as wj was in front of him. i could say the same about jj wrecking someone on more than one occasion also. and you dont see my name on the side of the car. if you think wj should have given up because of jj's lead than why didnt walker pull in after getting lapped?
