TELEFORD, Pa. — September 11, 2012 — After six and half years, one of Pennsylvania’s most successful driver/owner combinations is coming to an end. Effective immediately, driver Fred Rahmer and car owners Chad and Jenn Clemens have ended their partnership. “When my wife and I started CJB Motorsports, we wanted to build it into a team that was capable of winning on any given night,” said Clemens. “Fred Rahmer has been a huge part of CJB Motorsports for a very long time and has helped us achieve that goal. Racing is a very competitive business and sometimes change is necessary for both parties to achieve even more. With that in mind, we’ve made the decision to end our relationship. It was a mutual decision by both parties as we looked towards the future. My wife and I cannot thank Fred and his family enough for the contributions that they have made to our organization over the past six and half years. We’ve had a great deal of success with winning two Pennsylvania Speedweek titles and several races including events with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. We wish Fred and his family all the best in the future.” Fellow Pennsylvania driver Brian Leppo will step into the #51 C&S Lawn and Landscape/Bairs Tree Service/Aran Trading/Real Estate Excel entry this Friday at Williams Grove Speedway near Mechanicsburg, Pa. and at Selinsgrove (PA) Speedway. Beginning with the event at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, September 21, Paul McMahan will assume the driving duties of the #51 for the remainder of the 2012 season and the entire 2013 campaign. McMahan, a California native, is currently fourth in the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions national points standings and won a World of Outlaws event at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park near Elbridge, New York earlier this season. “Having Paul agree to come over and race for us is something that we are truly looking forward to,” said Clemens. “He has raced with the World of Outlaws for many years and is one of the true class acts in sprint car racing. Paul will be an instrumental part as we bring the #51 and #19 teams together to work closer as teammates for the 2013 season.” McMahan is equally excited about the opportunity. “I’m very excited to have the chance to get in the #51 for the rest of this season and 2013,” said McMahan, who currently resides in Nashville, Tenn. “Chad and Jenn are very passionate about the sport and it shows in the commitment they make to their race teams. I’m really looking forward to working with Barry Jackson and together we feel like we can strengthen the #51 car as well as contribute information to the #19 program. I’ve got some big shoes to fill in that car but I’m up for the challenge.” Further details about CJB Motorsports 2013 plans will be released at a future date.

The owner is right on one thing...Paul is truly a class act, a joy to be around and represents sponsors very well. Good luck Paul! Smile

For some reason I tend to like the guys "everybody loves to hate". Hope Fast Freddy gets a great ride...

We'll see if the other guys can do better in #51.....

Although I am a huge Fast Freddie fan, and a strong believer in the talents of crew chief Barry Jackson, I am not surprised by this announcement. The team has literally been going backwards for the past three months. As a matter of fact, I can't remember Freddie passing any cars once the feature started in a long time. Ever since Fred crashed while leading an All Star race in Canada last year, he seems to have struggled to regain his confidence. If I could pick the perfect replacement driver it would be Paul McMahan. He is a class guy. Hopefully the change will benefit both drivers in the future.

I hope Fred lands on his feet because he has been on his head unfortunately a couple of times too many. Tough way to go out!!

Can the boys pick up where Dad has left off?

Freddie will be fine. He'll find some new crazy fresh radical totally different stuff to run. I bet he'll find some new help to paint the wheels semiflat black instead of semigloss black. Get a guy to build some small block chevies with All Pro heads with the last name Ott instead of Kistler. He'll probably run Hoosiers instead of Goodyears since the rule book will say he can. Might even get a Chinaman to build his chassis instead of an American. I can't wait to see all the new and exceptional things he will be coming up with shortly.

Fred Rahmer's is one of the all time great sprint car drivers in this country and will probably continue to be for a few more years at least. I'm very happy for Paul McMahan. I hope he goes on a tear and wins quick and wins a ton next year. Not many deserve it as much as Paul.

Can history repeat itself this weekend for Leppo? He jumped into the Zemco ride for a ONE RACE deal before the Dude took over and beat the All Stars at Williams Grove.

please do not tell me you are saying the all stars are a competive group of what 3 full time cars? who, when run outlaw shows barely make it in to the A , i will give your credit on gravel and some times blaney but who the hell else on the all star tour? so a big win i would say not , just a local show with a few new faces is all . now will brian drive the wheels off the car yes, win in it i doubt it not this year.

Apparently your forgetting Tim Shaffer, McMahan himself is an All Star, Gravel. Just because theyre on the All Star Circuit doesnt make them less of a driver. While on topic of the all stars, explain how Rahmer didnt make the 50 this past weekend but all all stars did??

Rahmer doesn't owe anything to anyone.

He can retire if he wants to.

He can find another ride if he wants to.

I do believe Sammy and The King are older and they are having pretty decent years, but you never know. Maybe age and recent injuries are a factor. We can only speculate. It could play a part in what kind of team he is able to hook up with in the future though. That is, if he wants to continue driving.
