Congrats to California drivers Tim Kaeding (1st) and Jon Allard (3rd) getting the podium finish at Antioch! TK, is there anyone more purely exciting in sprint cars? I don't think so.
Cheers!

Wasn't just him taking 1st, how about 4th to 1st in 2 laps and winning it on the last turn of the last lap passing Donny Schatz? What a race!

I'd like to see the video of the last restart to the checkerd flag. Great move by TK on the last corner to get the W.

For the most part other than Allard holding off Donny and dicing through traffic most of the race was the usual finish where you started. If Donny didnt hit the brakes TK takes them both out.

Too bad for Allard...the guy at the WoO live feed said he spun the tires when they went green again on lap 28. I thought he had a win and IF Dollansky had not spun out I think Alaard would have won. At that point he had about a 1.7 second lead over Schatz. Oh well, would, could, etc. Still a podium finish and at least a Cali guy got the win.

Thats what happened. Saw the wheel spin and it was over. Looked like he started later on that restart than the previous. I am not sure if Allard has a WoO win anywhere but he was impressive till then, Not sure what happened after the checkers when Allard flipped.

Johnny Gibson on the dirtvision audio kind of made it sound like Schatz was closing big time on JA with like 3 to go. I would have liked JA to get his 1st WoO win, but what are you gonna do? Looking forward to video of this.

I was there and Schatz kept in striking distance due to the yellows and reds. On the long runs it was all Allard.

I liked what one guy posted on the WoO feed...something to the affect that Dollansky was so far behind he spun on purpose to give Schatz a chance at a run on Allard. The plot thickens.

Craig must have seen it all in his rearview mirror. A little jerk of the wheel, stab of the brakes, let's spin one to win one for the WoO.

I just love the fact that my curse on Swindell worked. All I had to do is say that I had money on him winning every race in California and he leaves the state with Nada. I think he left the entire west coast swing with nada so that works for me.

I don't know about that "rear view mirror thingy" but he was so far behind he was certainly able to see the leaders on the other side of the track!

maybe you shoulda put money on him in the begining of the year, cause he claimed one this year at Merced in the early part of the year

This strategy came about when I said his typical luck would keep him from winning the Royal and he promptly won that one. I used the same strategy for the Nationals and he didn't even make the feature. So - yeah - I like the way you think becase so far it seems to work pretty well.
