I thought the non-wing 360s were running the Saturday night (the 13th) of the Cotton Classic at Hanford. At least that's what the USAC website is showing..... Okay, I do see a non-wing 360 show on Thursday the 18th at Tulare. But is this a USAC West Cost 360 show or not?

Exactly. Just like Chili Bowl no need to let USAC in to screw up a perfectly good thing.

Agreed this is the first race I put on the schedule of the year and everything else fills in around it .
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

I'd get someone to give Daron Clayton a call after his run from the back of the B and A to win in Indiana. Sounds like he'd fit right into the Trophy Cup mold!

I hope the Country Builders 88 is that matalic bergandy like back in the day. I remember when McCarl would wad that thing up or win in it back in 1990-91.

San Jose Speedway was the host
track until its closing after the1999 event and the inaugural victory went to Ronnie Day. A
one day format in its early years, two mains were raced and Day won the first
one and started next to last as a result in the finale. His 7th place finish in the 2nd
main was enough to garner the top point total for the night and the championship. The first 3 years the
show featured winged 410 sprints.

San Jose speedway closed in 1999. I think the last race was held on October 16th, 1999.

Correct...an editing error
Terry McCarl won the last ever main event at San Jose which was the 1999 Trophy Cup. His entry this year will be finished he same as the 1999 car.

Didn't Terry drive the Taco Bravo car in 1999?

I think he drove Taco Bravo at Watsonville. He was in a transfer spot from the B-main when Randy Tiner took out all the top 4 cars in T-1!
